Today, I locked my keys in the car while the car was running because I got out to get the parking ticket attached to my windshield. FML

I'm impressed you managed to get the car to LET you lock yourself out... Either it's an antique, or you are truly talented... Nearly every car these days will prevent you from locking the door when it is open and the key is in the ignition.

my car is 15 years old, and it dosent let me lock my car with the keys in my ignition

This is really badly worded, I don't really understand.

Speaking of "really badly worded," really badly worded, is poor word choice.

They locked their keys in the car (while the car was on & running), to get the parking ticket that was on their windshield on the outside. Lol...still weird tho. o.O But that sucks.

this is a halfway legitimate FML. maybe there's growing hope for this site. probably not, but maybe.

Exactly what I was thinking. The car would have to be fairly old for this to be possible...though not necessarily antique. There are still people driving around in 15-20 year old cars.

Umm, no. Every car in existence let's you lock the door when the car is running and/or the door is open. You sir, are a dummy. That is all.

Who said the door was open? the doors will indeed lock if they are closed you know. I have a habit of closing car doors when i get out myself =] so you never know

Yeah you deserve it for driving a crappy ass old Honda Civic. Even my Hyundai is smart enough to keep me from getting locked out when the keys are in.

Umm...nobody said anything about a Honda Civic. The Civic, I'll have you know, is a very nice car.

hahahaha, this made me lol :) sorry op....

and mine is 18 and it won't eatjer

that happened to me...I just by habit hit the lock button when I stand up to get out of the car. luckily, my window was far enough down that I could force my arm inside to hit unlock. my cars super old though so it very likely doesn't have ANY normal safety features

HAHAHAHAHA YDI FOR GETTING A TICKET LOL XD
