(0)Why didn't you stay inside your home?
But, that does suck.
And it was probably cold out.
(+3)how does that suck? you have FIFTEEN BAGS OF CANDY TO EAT!
(-2)Agreed, #30. OP, just get the sand out of your pussy, eat the damn candy, and go on with your fucking life.
(+1)It could be an FML for many reasons. One, the OP could be diabetic and cannot just eat the candy. Two, fifteen bags of candy is fifteen bags of candy, which, if I'm not mistaken, is a fucking lot of candy. The OP could not like candy. The OP could be outside of their teens or early twenties, and simply do not want to eat that much candy, as someone younger might do. Maybe they don't have anyone to share it with. I, personally, hate having so much Halloween candy, it lasts until Christmas.
Plus, I think if any of you sat outside, with candy, waiting for someone to come up, and only one came the entire night, you'd be a little frustrated.
(0)except france doesnt generally celebrate halloween so its a total YDI regardless of whether its inconvenient for them or not.
The OP may not necessarily be from France, as all mobile submitted FMLs automatically have that as their location, as we are unable to identify theirs. This should be fixed eventually.

(0)Look on the bright side. You now have enough leftover candy to make that fat kid down the block your slave.
#93 - On 11/01/2009 at 3:21am by Reyo
(-1)I agree: NOT an FML. Anyone giving out candy accepts the possibility of this happening. It's normal.
(0)Wow.
I just got one big fucking chain of replies.
What the hell.
(0)excalty!!!
(0)LMFAO #93

(0)or make yourself fat LOL
(+1)Wow, so sad
That sucks we did the same thing
LOL
more candy for you!
(-2)they probably thought you was a pedophile sitting outside waiting for kids with candy and why buy 15 bags?
at least theres more for you
(0)Maybe you can return some of them...and eat the rest yourself!
(-2)i think its your fault you posted this at 6:45 they come around7:45 and if they didn't than you must be a scary person for little kids not wanting candy
#5 - On 10/31/2009 at 8:38pm by Jam33
(+1)The OP lives in France; it says so right under the FML. It's 1:40 AM there right now... Doubt any trick-or-treaters are still coming around.
(0)I had maybe 10 Trick or Treaters come tonight.
(0)I had like 70 D:
(0)26; it started raining = /
(0)I only got two
(0)I got a rock.
(0)i had 0
(0)I had about 50!
I gave out unfrozen popsicles. :D Glad I picked something cheap!
#96 - On 11/01/2009 at 4:36am by elkat
(0)I always count how many I get! We had like 100 when we lived in texas. Yesterday we got one. It just happens.
(-1)You must be that one weird neighbor that everyone has, that they do their best to avoid, and who parents tell their kids not to go near... Yup! Sucks for you!
(0)Aha, I was gonna go to your house, but it had pedophile status.
(0)rotflmao
(+2)It probably has more to do with the street you live on, rather than you. I remember a few years ago, my buds and I went down a street no one bothered trying out and everyone just pretty much dumped the bowls of candy into our bags cause we were the ONLY ToTers they got and they wanted to go to bed. (Elderly part of the neighborhood) One awesome dude even had KING SIZED candybars!!
(+1)Dude. TONS of spare candy. NOT A PROBLEM. It keeps for months or longer, so you'll just have a constant supply!
#12 - On 10/31/2009 at 8:50pm by broken_chaos
(+1)15 bags of candy? we get 2 bags and still end up with extras, and we get quite a few people.
(0)From what I understand, France is nothing like the US with Halloween & trick or treating - thats probably why this experience occured
(-1)I live in the UK, we had 3 small groups of kids. It was really popular this year, it was like being in the US.
(0)I had to laugh at this. So true.
#108 - On 11/01/2009 at 10:42am by SE3
(-1)It was the melted Hershey's all over your face and lips that threw them off. Wipe that shit off.
(0)You deserved it for not just turning off your lights and pretending you're not home.
(0)That would increase the chance of trick-or-treaters choosing "trick" if they wanted to do that. Of course, that's not very many people these days...
And this isn't that bad, OP, now you've got a bunch of candy for youself! :)
(0)awwww that really sucks. Your heart's in the right place. Maybe you could return most of it and keep some around to snack on.
(-2)It's cuz your a day early..It's tonight :)
(-1)So what? I haven't had a single ToT in nearly ten years and I leave my lights on. But then again I'm a scary old guy, who lives way back in the woods and likes to clean his shotgun on the front porch so the parents warn their kids to stay away from me.
#21 - On 10/31/2009 at 9:18pm by EMR
(0)lol, I wonder then why you don't get many ToTers...
(0)Maybe you just don't live in an area with a lot of kids, or you live in an isolated spot? Either way, this means that you now have more than 14 bags of candy for yourself, so this is not that big of an FML.
(0)omg this is happening to me right now..but the sad part is I told the kids to come and get candy..ahaha this is wht u do..watch movies and eat them all..and then go running later
(0)If you live in France, of course no one trick or treated. Who the hell waits for kids here for Halloween anyways??? It's not our tradition. ONCE in my life some kids have coàme to my house on a Halloween night. They were my neighbour's children.
(0)that would suck. maybe your house creeps them oput or maybe nobody goes on that steet. either way never give out candy to those little mother fu****rs
(0)ur a loser for sitting outside. the kids were probbly too scared to go up to you!
My house normally gets around 25-30 ToT's every year (my mom counts for some reason) This year we got 27 I think? When you said 15 bags I thought you meant you put candy in 15 different bags to give out to TOT's, that's what my mom does...if you bought 15 normal sized bags of candy my god even in the US that's overkill. Seriously.
#28 - On 10/31/2009 at 9:49pm by Tarynkd
(-1)LUCKY! That's not an FML, you've got 15 bags of candy now!
(+1)You're in France. According to my french teacher, halloween is barely celebrated there, so I'm not surprised by this, unless of course there is usually a lot of trick or treaters in your area, then that just sucks.
Actually, mobile FMLs submitted have no IP address, therefore the site uses the default location, which is the one you see. It's a little glitch, and it's being worked on. We don't know the OP's location.
#33 - On 10/31/2009 at 10:13pm by Vanni (FML Staff)
(0)Ah I see, thanks for the info, makes more sense now.
Then that indeed does suck OP.
(0)less people let their kid go door to door
more indoor parties these days
#32 - On 10/31/2009 at 10:13pm by GJMO
(+2)To everyone saying "OMG SO LUCKY U CAN HAZ MOAR CANDY LOLOLOL."
Seriously, you can buy candy at ANY TIME when you're an adult, so you're just making useless posts revealing that you're an immature, stupid idiot yourself.
@OP: Don't buy that much candy next year. Same thing happened to my mother, except that she didn't buy that much and no one came.
#34 - On 10/31/2009 at 10:15pm by Fop
(-1)Fop, you're the only one proving yourself stupid, immature and incapable of having a little fun. Flaming people online who are looking for the bright side of situations? That foreshadows a miserable death in a dark isolated place.
(0)And really, while you can buy candy all the time, you usually can't get it at as cheap as you can around Halloween cause they always have great deals cause everyone's buying. So even though he wasn't buying it for himself intentionally, he basically got himself a few month's supply for much cheaper.
(-2)i hate halloween. i hate kids.
(0)my parents bought one bag from costco. tons of people came, and we still have a fourth of the bag left.
(+1)That's because your parents are stingy.
(-2)Oh my God, stop your whining.
You'll have nearly fifteen bags of candy. That'd make it totally and completely worth it.
This is NOT an FML.
(0)And I'll bet that kid thought you were a ridiculous miser because you gave him exactly one piece.
Of course, the Convicted Sex Offender sign on your lawn could have been a factor.
(0) people don't go door to door anymore next time go sit outside the mall with your candy you'll run out in about 20 minutes
(-1)I'm going to say YDI.
Use the candy as payment to yourself for sitting out all night.
(0)Just give me your address and I'll be right over to collect the candy.
(0)enjoy your candy
(-1)You should wait inside for kids to come knocking, YDI for being stupid.
(0):'(
(0)YDI for being a creeper.
(0)You wouldn't have needed 15 bags of candy even if you had gotten a lot of trick-or-treaters. YDI and FYL.
(0)All the more candy for you! My driveway is steep and 300 feet long, and in my whole life that I've lived here, we've gotten 2 trick-or-treaters. I love eating the candy myself.
(0)Wow. I bought one bag, sat at the bottom of my house's hill with 10 mini bags for people IN THE RAIN AND COLD, and only gave out 3 bags. 3 hours. Go to hell, whimpy fuck.
(0)Someone enlighten me to what YDI is please.
(-1)You deserve it.
Personally, I do think this is a YDI, but I also agree, you have FIFTEEN BAGS of CANDY!!!!!!!!
Why are you complainin'?!
D:
#53 - On 10/31/2009 at 11:35pm by Aha09
(0)Thanks, im not up to date on the lingo on here ;p
(0)YDI = You Deserve it
FYL = Fuck Your Life
OP = Original Poster/Optimus Prime, depending on who answers.
(+1)Now you have 15 bags of candy, pour them all into a bowl, call your buddies over and pig out while watching the football game or a movie marathon.
(0)My place is in the newer communities. TONS of kids, groups of people, families, and the such are out and about. And I mean tons.
My parents place however...they had about 20 kids all night. But my parents place used to get hundreds. It's all about the new developments.
(0)same thing happened to me :D
(0)lol, that's just sad. maybe you should've waited inside cause the kids maybe thought you was a pedo lol. anyway, why're you so bummed about it, i'd eat the candy :)
(0)YDI for celebrating Halloween in France.
(0)When I was a kid we only trick or treated dense, middle class neighborhoods. Poor neighborhoods didn't have much candy, and rich neighborhoods had too big yards so it took longer to get from house to house. So we went to subdivisions built in like the 70s... those were the best. We'd get 3 shopping bags full of candy each.
So maybe the OP lives in a poor neighborhood, or a rich neighborhood, or has a house set too far back from the road. Kids don't bother with those places.
(0)Excellent deduction Watson my boy!
(+1)Maybe it was that "Convicted Sex Offender" sign on the front lawn.
(0)Who buys 15 bags of candy? I hope they were small bags. I bought 2 normal sized halloween bags of candy and I still have a bunch left over. A lot of kids came too.
(0)I would'nt complain,more candy for u.
(0)that happened to alot of people around here tonight. rained all day.
(+1)Don't feel bad.. I just moved to a new house and didn't realize today was the trick or treat day (never had any where I used to live, and now I live in a development so kids everywhere) .. I grabbed all the candy that I got for myself from my job and put it in a bucket.. those greedy kids took all the good stuff! So if you want, mail some to me =D
(0)At my house we had maybe 25.
My friend got got 2000.
(0)15 bags of candy? That's AWESOME! fmylife, not yours. I have no candy at all :P
(0)): that is so sad. it like makes me want to dress up for candy so you can moderate this and say 2 people came.
But, sell em? return em? eat em? either way.
#75 - On 11/01/2009 at 1:32am by sydd
(0)at my house every two seconds kids would come over and rang the doorbell. I was having a party, so at one point i told everybody if you hear the doorbell, turn off the lights and hide.that saved me tons of candy. :)
#76 - On 11/01/2009 at 1:33am by besad
(0)try trunk or treat next year. Park your car at the end of the driveway and hand candy out of the trunk
(-1)Why is this an FML? Either return the candy or eat it. Problem solved. YDI for sitting outside the whole time and buying a shit ton of candy.
(+1)Well, now you have a lot of candy. Doesn't seem so bad to me.
(0)FML..The same thing happened to us..we bought boxes totaling 150 candy bars..because we usually get anywhere from 70 to 110 trick or treaters...this year we got 10..
(0)I've noticed less and less people have been participating in Halloween. FYL
(0)IT WAS ME!!!!!
thank you for the candy!
u da best!
(0)Why did you buy soo much candy? I think you did that on purpose. I think that you wanted all kinds of candy to yourself but didn't want to look like a fat ass when you bought it SO you decided to make yourself feel better about buying soo much candy that you would attempt to get rid of it by using it for trick or treaters and when barely anyone shows up you would say "oh well looks like it's my candy now". Then when people ask why you have soo much candy you tell them "I got it for the trick or treaters but hardly any kids came by so I had tons of left overs".
But that's just my opinion. Personally I didn't even hand out candy this year. We only had one person ring our doorbell the whole night so I think I w as justified in my decision.
I went trick or treating in Compton and all my candy is gone along with my wallet, keys and dignity. The fuck are you complaining about?
#87 - On 11/01/2009 at 1:35am by shaister
(0)how old are you to be trick or treating that you have keys and a wallet. I hope this is true because you are way too old to be trick or treating
(0) can I have yo candy ? plz lol
(0)How is that bad?! You get 15 bags of candy. :)
(0)you live in nord-pas-de-calais. what else can i say,
(0)Yeah, can't expect everyone to celebrate foreign holidays right off the bat, man. Did you dress up as Batman?
Anyway, they might come today, for all you know. Still holiday weekend or something.
(0)Today, after spending alot of hard earned money on delicious food i found out i'll have to eat almost all of it myself. FML
(0)Uh, It's not like you couldn't have done something else. Turn off the lights and find something to do. Go to a party. Drive to the theater to catch a flick. The possibilities are endless. The only one who screwed you was yourself. For crying out loud...
(0)eat the leftover candy lol
(0)Any reason you sat outside..? Seems a bit sad really. It's an FML in itself if you're that lonely that you have nothing better to do than sit outside and wait all night.
(+1)"Oh no! I'm stuck with all this tasty candy! DAMN YOU UNIVERSE!"
(0)go inside and wait for the doorbell!
(0)my pedo sense is tingling!
(0)and thats an FML why???? you have fifteen bags of candy!!!!!!!! eat the candy you nitwit!!!!

(0)That's not really an FML dude. I mean, it kind of sucks that you spent the money, but I could whine about THAT all day long!
(0)Is the FML that you had nothing better to do on a Saturday night than sit outside with candy?
Because that sure does suck.
(0)get a life..
(0)Pedobear...?
(0)I will gladly take those fifteen bags of candy from your ungrateful ass. =]
(0)Same thing happened to me last year except I wasn't even lucky enough to get one trick or treater. Only one person came this year.
(0)#111-
He should be grateful that he has 15 bags of candy? He could have that at any time he wants, but he purposely bought it for the trick-or-treaters.
And really? You`re going to put all that shit into your body? Fat ass.
(0)i would have given that kid like two of the bags
(0)Amen to this FML. Over here we got NO trick or treaters this year. And people in the capital city got few people... All because everyone is scared of the H1N1... Jesus.
#118 - On 11/01/2009 at 3:37pm by shelboo
(0)umm...so don't sit outside and wait for them, instead sit inside and get them to ring the doorbell?
and you get to eat 15 bags of sweets, dont complain! haha
(0)i think i might of had been that one person......
#120 - On 11/01/2009 at 4:01pm by nomorewhoppers
(0)haha so true.
but yumm, all that candy. you shud be happy!
why waste your money on treak or treaters.
(0)aww I so feel like candy so bad right now...!!! mmm 15 bags of candy would be awesome.
(+1)OH FYL.... You now have a big bowl of candy all to yourself!
Now unless you're a diabetic, this sounds like a win to me!
(0)You should've stayed inside. If your neighborhood isn't good with the Halloween spirit, here's what I do since my neighborhood doesn't do these holidays much. I go to a friend or relative's house where Halloween is actually celebrated really good, and give out candy there with my relatives. Besides, why'd you buy 15 bags? You really only need like 2-4 bags.
#124 - On 11/01/2009 at 5:17pm by Judizzy
(0)Judging by the time that you posted this, it's no wonder nobody came... YOU WERE TOO EARLY!!!!!
6:26 pm is just a tad bit too early... So.... YDI!
(0)I think you need to take into consideration time zone difference from here and fucking France.
(0)hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...sorry but thats funny
(+1)Maybe the pedophile from Family Guy wasn't the best costume for you.
(0)ydi get a life instead of waiting for random strangers to come
(-1)We spend 364 days of the year telling our kids not to take sweets from strangers, then on hallowe'en we encourage them to go begging for sweets from people they don't know. Trick or treat is a stupid, horrible 'tradition' and pretty much sums up America's contribution to world culture.
(0)Oh, don't even. Halloween has been around for centuries. Maybe not the walking around asking for candy, but there has been a holiday similar to Halloween in most major cultures for at least a thousand years. There is no way you could pin this on Americans. Sorry. Try looking up the history of Halloween before you cast judgments. It is indeed a "tradition" that was BROUGHT OVER to America when it was settled. How on earth could we have created it? Don't try to blame a country that is just over 200 years old for something that dates back centuries. "The American tradition of 'trick-or-treating' probably dates back to the early All Souls' Day parades in England. During the festivities, poor citizens would beg for food and families would give them pastries called 'soul cakes' in return for their promise to pray for the family's dead relatives." http://www.history.com/content/halloween/real-story-of-halloween/today-s-traditions Check out that website, and bite your tongue when you don't know your facts.

(0)think about it: you were SITTING outside the entire time. ppl prolly thought u were a creeper or a pedophile and didnt want their kidz raped
(0)If it's really that bad I would've given that one kid a crapload of candy.... unless of course that was early on and you expected more.... but anyway I'm sorry but hey more candy for you and if I could've went there I would've gladly taken it all from you. xD Oh one more thing, who buys 15 bags of candy? You only need like 5 bags tops unless you give that much away or they're tiny bags.
(0)similar story here. sucks being the weird house on the block
(0)Not really seeing what the problem is here.
YOU GET TO KEEP 15 BAGS OF CANDY.
(0)See, this is why I only buy candy I like anyway on Halloween.
(0)Why did you buy so much candy if you knew not that many people were going to come? You set yourself up for the candy didnt you.
(0)HA HA!
(0)tht is definately not an FML! u hav a shitload of candy!!!
