Does it feel as good as you'd hope?

And I don't get how a cat can lock someone out of a house. Explain plz.

#5 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:19am by emilysanftwsom

So you wrote "alkdjpab" because you wanted to make sure you were first and then come back and edit it. You wouldnt want look like an idiot and write "first" only to find out you were 2nd or 3rd?

#6 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:20am by 2345

It should be "my dad and me."

#9 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:28am by Ox_Baker

#9 is a grammar nazi

does anyone feel how Andy Griffiths-esque this story is?

OP: did you go dress as mudmen and then get to your dads work?

#34 - On 10/22/2009 at 6:12am by Kinttow

This hapened to me too. But it was my dog.

#49 - On 10/22/2009 at 10:00am by fringle

And to think that I was about to give kudos to OP for having proper grammar... Kudos to you, Ox_Baker

#67 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:57pm by chinesef000d

It should actually be "my dad and I"

#100 - On 10/26/2009 at 4:39am by Burgessnk

I'm confused it does say "me"... did he edit..? and dude why on earth would you think that would be an I... that'd be like saying "my cat locked I out of the house" doesn't make much sense does it now.... dumb people go back to 2nd grade

#101 - On 10/27/2009 at 3:14am by ohgoodness1344

he's right actually. in the case where you are speaking of yourself and another individual, grammatically you would say "my dad and I" to refer to the other person and yourself.

Your example actually proves why you would say "my dad and I". that's how you check. You're right, it doesn't work, that's where you say me.

So you can't talk.

#102 - On 10/27/2009 at 10:39pm by wrw28405

GRAMMAR NAZI!!!!!!!!!!! get out of here!
and how the hell did tht happen? F in awesome cat you've
got there

#111 - On 03/15/2010 at 1:02am by killerfrog7

holy moly, that's just amazing.

#2 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:18am by foolishworkerbee

How??

#3 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:18am by MiniatureMayhem

At least you got it unlocked, eventually.

#4 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:18am by JoseCuervo

If a cat and door lock can so easily lock you out, you might want to leave a key with a neighbor who is smarter than their pets.

#7 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:25am by polarpaul

Epic!

#106 - On 11/14/2009 at 4:25am by Batsumoto

what's so odd about that? my dog runs a lock smith co, you should of call him.

#8 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:26am by oystersmoke

hahahahahaha pmsl.

#87 - On 10/23/2009 at 7:04am by ralucanicoleta

good kitty.

#10 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:32am by jloveee

I love this fml :D

#91 - On 10/23/2009 at 1:01pm by Zezing

If this is even real, it's definitely a YDI, because there's no way the cat truly did that by itself. That would only be possible if you did something stupid where you could get locked out just by one little thing getting bumped. I'm pretty sure this is just a lie to begin with though.

#11 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:32am by israelnotjacob

You underestimate cats >>.

#38 - On 10/22/2009 at 6:59am by Shuinoshina

No. My back door is one of those sliders with just a flip down and it will lock. My dog was jumping and he hit the switch locking us out. Could happen with a cat too.

#51 - On 10/22/2009 at 10:04am by fringle

#51, Happened to me with my dogs too, I could see it happening with a cat. Its not too much of a stretch.

#73 - On 10/22/2009 at 7:51pm by Sun_Kissed18

I feel the OP's pain. My cat has managed to do this before, as well as unlock and open doors by himself.

#12 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:37am by redbluegreen

Cats are awesome. My cat used to switch lights off.

#13 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:39am by Darling_Cherry

Cats are smart, but your cat is amazing. Hide a camera inside, get him to lock the door, then make a big issue out of it, then send to AFV.

#14 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:43am by zethioth

That would entail that there was something great or funny to this. As anyone who has ever seen a deadbolt knows, animals can and do lock them.

My doberman used to lock the deadbolt every time I went outside at night without her

#68 - On 10/22/2009 at 5:20pm by cxal

The cat just wanted some alone time, try to be more understanding next time.

#15 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:43am by LemonadePink

His cat is a secret spy maybe.

#96 - On 10/24/2009 at 9:07pm by Ajjas013

Your cat is a fucking animorph or something.

#16 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:48am by allmidnighteyes

Why the hell did this get buried?
It's funny and relevant and not offensive...

#21 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:10am by caticaticati

Some angry, bitter little kid (or kids) has something against me, I'm assuming. ¯|(°_o)/¯
All of my comments in the FMLs that just got posted are buried, so I'm guessing that's it.

Oh well, in the end, I'm not the moron who sits on FML every day constantly searching for, as well as refreshing and burying somebody's comments. :]

#22 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:14am by allmidnighteyes

In case I'm thinking of the right person, here ya go, babe, now go on with burying my comments again:

#26 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:52am by Peroxide

Haha. I've seen the following users recently thumbs downed en masse: mercyFML, Intoxicant, WitchCraft, BraveSirRobin, AllMidnightEyes, Peroxide, DameGrayWolf. I think that's about it. So basically the righteous community from 'Footloose' is patrolling the boards and being total nazooers. The only bad part is they have managed to insult some good ole true blues, like perdix and Triumvirate. Wha? Are they not worthy of your humorless disdain? LOL.

Personally, I don't thumbs down w/exception to 3 page ascii filler. It's kind of a loser move. If I disagree, all the more to let 'dem colors shine.. people just click 'show comment' anyway. Time wasters and haters :]

#53 - On 10/22/2009 at 10:12am by mercyFML

And my subconscious couldn't understand why I haven't been commenting on FML lately. Ah, I don't know whether to feel relieved or jealous I'm not on that list, oh dearest Mercy.

I bet everyone's forgotten me. XD
I can comment just like everyone else now!

#57 - On 10/22/2009 at 11:12am by redbluegreen

Only because you haven't been commenting here as much lately my sweet RBG, the busy bubblebee. Otherwise, I'm sure you would have been nazoozled for the treacherous sin of having something interesting and original to say :]

#63 - On 10/22/2009 at 2:01pm by mercyFML

Rachel, there you are! God, why are you on the computer? Get back in the room. I'll be waiting for you naked.
Sorry guys, she'll be gone a little longer.

#81 - On 10/23/2009 at 12:25am by Intoxicunt

Oh, someone did the other day, and I didn't care all too much. I'll make the effort to comment more!
I miss you guys and our snuggleness!

And darling, erm, I mean, slave master, yes. Getting back, getting back.
Amazing how far these chains will go...

#83 - On 10/23/2009 at 1:48am by redbluegreen

Your cat should lead the free world. Amen, brother.

#17 - On 10/22/2009 at 3:52am by chkachkachka

Should be added to the list of "Signs your cat is trying to kill you."

#18 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:01am by royboh

This is why cats will one day rule the world.

#19 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:05am by ginger_ahoy

Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.

Edit: This didn't show up where it was supposed to.

#20 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:08am by caticaticati

New Front Door: $80.
New Front Door Locks: $16.
Copy of New Front Door Keys: $8
Having your cat lock you out of the house with the new keys inside: priceless.

#23 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:14am by SushiCoster

It was probably the back door.

#52 - On 10/22/2009 at 10:06am by fringle

lmfao

thank you.

Best cat ever.

#27 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:53am by arissia

Hmm, reminds me of Fred and DIno from the Flinstones. Do you have a pelican whose beak you can mix concrete in??

#28 - On 10/22/2009 at 4:55am by Peroxide

Get that damn thing labotomized. Next thing you know it'll be joyriding.

#29 - On 10/22/2009 at 5:10am by shaister

And this kids, is why we make copies of the keys. So we do get get locked out of our own doors

#30 - On 10/22/2009 at 5:12am by Jimbo2000

I laughed so hard at this one. That's all I can really say about this FML. My cats can open doors with their paws, or they just run at it head first really fast and knock it open and scare the ever living shit out of me. Did you have to call the police and explain that your cat locked you out of the house or something? They would've thought you were high hahaha.

#31 - On 10/22/2009 at 5:16am by Tarynkd

screwed by pussy

#32 - On 10/22/2009 at 5:33am by Einstein714

#33 - On 10/22/2009 at 5:33am by pointerdog

Fail

#35 - On 10/22/2009 at 6:15am by Brey1013

YDI for owning a cat, ditch the little pussy, go adopt a baby instead.

#36 - On 10/22/2009 at 6:46am by watisit

That happened to me once. The ONLY time my husband went out of town for work. I was home with my 6 month old, outside having a smoke (baby was sleeping) and the cat stood on the fish tank, then on the hotel type lock. The front door was also locked, there was a 4 foot tall balcony, and I couldn't get any neighbors to help no matter how loud I screamed for help. Had to break the living room window with my foot. It sucked.

#39 - On 10/22/2009 at 7:01am by toomanycats

It's really good to read something I never read here before! But you wait, two days, and we'll be overrun with posts about domestic animals playing locksmith. :/

#40 - On 10/22/2009 at 7:31am by vev

Sure it did!

#41 - On 10/22/2009 at 7:51am by yourkiddingright

Sure, blame the cat.

#42 - On 10/22/2009 at 7:56am by Superawesomestev

We're lucky cats don't have opposable thumbs, otherwise stuff like this would happen a lot more.

#43 - On 10/22/2009 at 9:00am by KitCath

in Russia, kitty puts YOU in cage!

WILMA!!!

#58 - On 10/22/2009 at 12:33pm by Draq

I can see how a cat could do that. If the door is open, but you've locked the doorknob for some reason, all the cat would have to do is close the door. Or my cat can stretch to the doorknob, he actually grabs it when he's excited and wants to go outside (which isn't often, he's an indoor cat who only goes out on a leash), if we had a push-button lock, I could see him pushing it in his excitement. Lots of ways a cat can lock you out!

#59 - On 10/22/2009 at 12:44pm by beccity98

The cat thought he had pulled off the perfect evil plot.

Until he remembered he could not operate the can opener.

#60 - On 10/22/2009 at 1:22pm by spectator

Ok, the rule is this:
Just leave off the other person's name and see if it sounds right.
"Today, my cat managed to lock I outside..."
Nope.
Now you know! :)

#82 - On 10/23/2009 at 12:34am by Intoxicunt
