Today, my girlfriend told me she lost her phone and not to call or text her. After about three hours, I text her phone, asking if she found it yet. I got a reply, saying "Nope." FML

Could have been a stranger who had picked up the phone, not knowing what to say to a random stranger and thinking a vaguely witty 'Nope!' would be the best way to solve the situation and to, sort of, be helpful? Optimistic, but I'll be the first to put it out there.

I know this is an old post, but i have to agree with #138. My ex always texted all the time when i was with her and always replied straight away, and when i wasnt around her, and texted her, i got an answer 2-3 hours later saying "busy, we'll talk later" and we didnt talk at all
