lmao. I wake myself up, too, by thinking my phone is ringing.

aha... this just rocks fyl
Get a cover for that fan, or you will Final Destination yourself.
That's pretty hilarious. XD
This made me think of Mitch Hedberg's fan bit:
"I've got an oscillating fan at my house. The fan goes back and forth. It looks like the fan is saying "No". So I like to ask it questions that a fan would say no to. "Do you keep my hair in place?... Do you keep my documents in order?... Do you have three settings? Liar!"
(Do you leave grate shaped bruises? Do you attack me while I am half asleep? Do you make a whirring sound that could be mistaken for my phone ringing?)
"My fan fucking lied to me. Now I will pull the pin up. Now you ain't sayin' shit."
Where was your fan that you managed to hit yourself on the head with it so hard you got a bruise?
That does suck though. The only thing worse than waking up too early is waking up for no reason
i actually was woken by my phone ringing. it was my dad's female friend's boyfriend (who thought dad and his friend is getting it on) and he was calling to yell at him. at 2 am!
and the next day i had TWO physics test i had to re-take.
GEE!
That's happened to me so many times that it's not even funny.
Although it REALLY sucks when you dream that you had already gotten ready that morning, and then you wake up and have to do it all over again.
Screw that.
Fyl.
#9/fatfaceunited: 2AM: In the morning. Not 2PM: In the afternoon.
Getting some of that DMT. It's an amazing drug.
I hate waking up early and seeing that I have 5 or so minutes until my alarm goes off. Then I go back to sleep and it feels like 3 seconds. That really sucks. FYL.
How do you manage to do that?
FYL for being weird and waking yourself up like that.
You can leave a grate shaped "red mark" (not sure the technical term), but you can't leave a grate shaped bruise because the definition of bruising is internal bleeding from ruptured capillaries under the skin... A fan grates bars are too close together and assuming the fan was on a shelf near ceiling height and you yanked it as hard as you would have to to actually GET a bruise from it, it would leave a diffuse bruise pretty much like any other. The rest is reasonable, but the bruise smells of embellishment...
yeah, TURN IT OFF at night.
tut. YDI
9: it wuz 2 am
17: we're not all med students here-u don't have to make such a big deal over 2 words
OP: that sux-that's y I turn off my fone at nite.
LOL I hate it when that happens ...^^...
@19 The OP said that he/she dreamed their phone was ringing so turning off your phone at night would have nothing to do with whether or not you dreamed of it.
I call shenanigans on this one. Unless the fan was sitting on you for a few minutes there's no way that it would have left indentations from quickly falling on your head.
number 5
I'm pretty sure the "grate-shaped bruise" indicates the "cover of the fan" falling on his/her head!
OP... LOL I ALWAYS do stuff like this! you wake up in that half panic half asleep mode, bad things soon follow!

17 wow... you're an idiot!
i'm pretty sure the OP didn't have enough room or energy to type your discription of the minor injury he/she received!
TBH there was no best part to that story...lame!

#7: You are crazy
lol
OP: how do you just imagine your phone is ringing?
are you crazy too?
Ha ha that one made me laugh
Fyl cuz you were sleeping and the imaginary phone woke you up.
# 27
It's possible to imagine it, like dreaming. When you hear a ringtone so much it gets stuck in your subconcience.
hahahahahahaha
'groggily' nice adjective.
#17...you sound like an idiot. Stop talking. NOW...
And haha this made me LOL.
lmao... haha i think ive done that before too... i also always imagine hearing the vibrate from getting a text.... and i'm not the only one that does that. half my friends will admit to it too...
hahahah so done this before.
haha FYL. i did that by dreaming there was a five-foot bee in front of me and ran screaming to my brother's room.
honestly, i do that all the time. or my phone will go off and then after it stops i think it's still ringing.
LOL!!!
i do that all the time
I hate when crap like that happens! The other morning I woke up in a panic because I heard birds chirping outside so I thought I was late for work (I had to be at work at 5:30am so I assumed it was around 7 or so if birds were chirping). Turns out it was only 2:30am. Stupid fucktard birds were wide awake at 2am! (although I didn't imagine the birds, I can still relate to the groggy unawarenes of what is really going on. And I'm pretty sure I imagined I saw sunlight for a second)
My dad did something like that. He was dreaming that a steamroller was going to run him over so he dove out of the way, apparently he got up and dove out of the bed into his night stand and got a black eye
vivid dreams rule!!!! but not like the one you had, i mean the good kind of dreams
ive done that before.

omg that's so creepy.. i have weird dreams like that all the time
Omg that sucks. Sorry. Lol number 5.
I'm sorry, but #17 is not crazy. You do not have to be a med student to know what s/he is talking about is true. I guess you others have never had a bruise before.
Haha I've totally done something like this, multiple times. Once I woke up cause I thought I heard someone say my name, saw a shadow on the wall, freaked out, and rolled out of bed smashing my head onto my nightstand. Yup, fail.
Baha.
Remindes me of the time me and my friend were sleeping on her mattress on the floor and she had a fan (with the cover off) at the end of the bed we both woke up in the dark to a fan nearly chopping out toes off.....It hurt like hell.
you have got to admit that is pretty funny :D but i'm sorry

Dude that's funny, I ain't gonna lie.
Happens to me all the time tho.
I just wake up and think I've missed an appointment or am late for work or slept through a midterm, only to find out that my alarm doesn't go off for like 4 more hours or it's like 2 in the morning.
Or, this morning, when my alarm went off, I had no idea what was going on and I thought I slept through class, when it didn't even start for another hour. It usually happens when I'm super tired ... I become mad disoriented when I wake up for no reason at all.
I used to have text message conversations in the morning with my girlfriend, but the first half of it was just me dreaming. At some point in the conversation I'd get confused by her sudden change of topic, notifying me to wake up. Then I would check my messages and see that she's only sent one, the one that woke me up.
Which was good because half the time I was dreaming about it, we'd end up getting into fights. Waking up to a non-existant fight was always relieving.
HAHAHA that's fucking priceless!!
Dreamt. You dreamt yourself awake.
Gah, what a horrible way to start the day. (Ugh, I hate it when what I say accidentally rhymes. lol)
last night i went to bed at 10:30 and somehow woke up at 11:40 thinking it was time to go to school.
I used to have dreams that my alarm clock was going off - and I would shut it off in the middle of the night and go back to sleep. This became such a regular occurrance that I had to move the thing across the room, so that when I dreamed it was going off I'd have to get out of bed - this gave me time to wake up a bit and realize it was still dark.
this sort of thing happens to me all the time. Don't feel too bad!
#37, what happens to your dad happens to me, except I dream I'm falling and catch myself.(even when I'm not even falling)
I dream i'm falling and catch my self in my sleep lol. the worst part i fall 24/7 in my dreams. :( FYL too lolz
