Today, at college, I asked the girl who usually sits next to me if she wanted to team up on our latest assignment. She gave me a disgusted look, said "Um, I'm MARRIED. Creep." and walked away. Seriously, what the fuck? FML

I haven't seen this until almost 3 months later! Thanks for the support, turns out she was LYING about being married and just wanted to not work with me in the most obvious way.

Maybe she didn't hear you right? You can only hope

Wow she's full of herself. You definitely dodged a bullet not pairing with her OP.

Or being overly optimistic, she could have been joking around. But again this might be way too optimistic.

Maybe he said it the wrong way too. I've heard people use 'hook up' as just getting together. Maybe he said 'Hey do you want to hook up during this project?'

Those people are geniuses! You can throw out the blunt statement of you two actually hooking up but you'll have a legitimate exit strategy if they get the wrong impression and aren't into it! Awesome!

I'm married at 18 and I go to a university. Honestly, a lot of the time it's easier to just get it out there. Most of the guys that act like they want to be friendly, are completely uninterested once they find out.

#70, You can let someone know you're taken without being rude. The tactful approach is to mention your husband or wife, rather than implying that someone is trying to sleep with you because they're being nice.

Married already? What a lying ass. Sorry OP.

Well considering most people at college are above the age of 18, it's not impossible.

Actually, when I was in college this girl moved into my dorm who was married and her husband was allowed a pass before we even decided on quiet/visiting hours. I didn't really know her so I'm not sure why she lived in the dorms but I'm just saying it's quite possible.

My mom was married in college. And a girl in one of my math classes was married with two or three kids.

Oops. Sorry, I assumed she was 18 to 21. I went full idiot :/

I got married the summer after I graduated high school. I was 18.

18 seems a tad early but hey, what do i know lol

There was this junior in my trig class (I was a sophomore at the time, and we're in high school btw) and she got married. With parental consent though because she was 17.

My cousin got married at 18, and three years later they're still in love. Just because someone is young doesn't mean they cant marry.

my husband and I got married when I was 17 and he was 19... we're still happy 10.5 years later.

I'm in college and married. Got married at the beginning of my junior year. It's happens

I got married a month after high school graduation. We're still together 5 years later.

I got married when I was 19 and my husband was 18. He was a senior in high school and I was a sophomore in college. It happens. Doesn't mean she's lying.

Huh? It's college, not high school. She could be in her 30's or 40's, there's no age limit on post-secondary education. My mom took some courses in her 40's, a friend of mine is married with 3 kids and a full-time university student at 31 because she decided to change careers.

How do you know she's 18. Where I live people of any age can (and often do) take college courses to update or change careers. My friend is married with three kids and decided to take university courses to become a nurse.

When I was sophomore in high school this girl got marrried when she was 15 in high school. Later when she was senior she had baby.

I just assumed that, because she was acting so immature, that she probably wasn't that old.

My parents got married when they started college. My mom was 19 and my dad was 18. They had my sister 9 months later. Been married this whole time too.

I'm married, 19, and in college. Not the point though. Whether she's married or not, the fact that she thought he was hitting on her is really kind of odd. "Wanna work on an assignment together?" "Omg no!" Like, what?

Well you don't want to team up with someone that stupid anyway!

Wow she's full of herself. You definitely dodged a bullet not pairing with her OP.

Blessing in disguise if you ask me. Team up with someone that stupid and your grade can only go down.

She's probably one of those self-absorbed twits who thinks any man who so much as blinks in her direction is hitting on her. Forget about it. She's not worth the energy.

I asked a girl at work my "Question of the Night", after I asked about 15 other people, if she ever thought of acting. She responded the exact same way. I still have no clue what happened. Best of luck OP
