He definitely gave her a Viagra pill
Well, it shows how much he loves you, yeah?

Oh my goodness... that really sucks.
Wow. Your parents have issues.

Are you a girl? If not, FYL twice ;)
Today, after a few drinks, my husband told me that he switched my pills. I guess that explains why my daughter's here. FML
She should've left him for that. Then he could have visitations with his 'girl', IF he was lucky. She knows it's not your fault. I feel bad for you. FYL and most definitely FY mom's L.

That sounds a lot like rape to me.
dude, your dad is such a douche
Subby, you're totally lying. Although it's possible to ovulate and conceive after missing just one pill within 24-48 hours, 1.) that probability is EXTREMELY unlikely and 2.) you would be pretty screwed up if your mom continued to take active birth control pills before she knew she was pregnant with you.
Unless...your dad is an extreme misogynist who switched your mom's pills for a long time and didn't allow her to make decisions about her own body. In which case, I'm sorry you both have to live with such a pig.

Your dad wanted you
Thats the brightside
This reminds me of the Scrubs episode where Turk keeps slipping Carla birth control when she wants a baby and he's not ready:
"That fig newton you're about to eat is not only fat-free but it's baby-free!"
However, keeping someone from getting pregnant for a few weeks is slightly less invasive and controlling than trying to get someone get pregnant against their will.
Since when do men give women their bc pills and how was she not suspicious?
And don't even get me started on women's rights concerning their own bodies...
Maybe he's teaching you about the evils of the world! Lol. Don't be sad about it, i mean if they really didn't want another child, they would have went to extreme measures! Thankfully they didn't, so it shows you're totally wanted!
#12 actually, more likely than not, nothing would happen to the baby if the mother continued to take the pill after they became pregnant.
#12, it is rather common for women to continue taking birth control pills not knowing they're pregnant. Oral contraceptives have NOT been linked to birth defects. I suppose you're someone who believes a barrier to reproduction is the same as abortion, no?
But really, OP, this isn't a FYL. It's a FYMom'sL. Your father wanted you, your mother kept you, end of story.
What about women skipping on purpose and the husband not knowing?
the guy doesn't have to carry the baby for 9 months if he's tricked into having a baby
and it's a lot easier for the man to just walk away when he finds out the womans pregnant, womans always stuck with the baby
#18: I vote for "equally fucked up" (same goes for the old pin hole through the condom trick).
#13 +1
F your mother's life (I guess that's not the only decision your father took on his own)
#12: the BC pill stops ovulation. if somebody fucks up, then they still ovulate, but it would have no effects on the child. So you're an idiot.
#1: You're a fucking douche. Shoot yourself. Nobody wants you here.
#22 - On 05/21/2009 at 10:50am by onigiriqueen
F your mom's life!!! I can't imagine what I would do if I found out someone did that to me.
12- The pill can't screw up the baby if you're still taking it after the baby is conceived. That's totally a myth. And it IS possible even after 3 years of taking the pill constantly to miss one and get pregnant.
Hey, #16 and #17, maybe I should be more specific about my post. While physical abnormalities with continued estrogen/progesterone birth control use have been shown to be minimal, there is still inconclusive evidence of harm when it comes to sexual development with continued specific chemical birth control use into pregnancy, as shown in the articles below.
I'm guessing the submitter is 20+ so she and the mother probably received a higher dosage of some type of chemical birth control than given today. Depending on the type that was given, that could have raised her risk for some type of problem.
I have no problem with birth control or abortion. There are way too many people on this planet as it is.
Regardless of any of this quibbling, it's still unequivocally WRONG that the husband would intentionally switch his wife's pills.

I"m with #9, FY mom's Life!! Not for having you, if she did it means she probably wasn't too upset, but for having a husband that thinks it's ok to do that kind of thing. And #18 it is indeed inacceptable either way.
Everything he just said is a complete fabrication, I should know, I'm one of the Doctors that he cited above.
#12, could always be the morning after pill. Ya never knowwww
haha funny. well atleast you know one of your parents wanted you...
Proudpariah - I've got to give you credit, you seem to know what you're talking about, at least regarding your second point. As for the first point - missing one pill wouldn't be that big of a problem, but it doesn't say how long he switched the pills, and if you miss even two then it increases the odds of pregnancy for several days, I believe, based on the warning that came with my pills (I don't know about others) to use back-up birth control for 7 days. If the mom thought her pills were working, the dad probably wouldn't have a hard time convincing her they didn't need backup. Also, OP says he gave her the wrong pill - I assumed the one he gave her was some kind of fertility pill.
Not trying to argue, just giving my perspective.
Wow... i can't even - your dad is creepy. Using your mother's love and trust for him against her like that. Though i'm sure she loves you as much as your brother and everything but it was still her choice to make, not his. *hugs*
Why was your father in charge of handing out the pill to your mother? Is she physically impaired? Mentally challenged?
What did he give her that looked EXACTLY like her birth control pill, so she didn't notice?
this is only funny if your a boy,
#32, he probably just gave her one from the week of sugar pills. Some bc's are all the same color so you wouldn't be able to tell it was from the wrong week.
Well, at least he really did want you that much! And just because your mother didn't want to get pregnant again doesn't mean that she regrets having you; a lot of mothers start really liking the idea of having a child once they're pregnant.
So technically this is the story of how you were conceived! There must be a whole other story as to how you were born!
#37 - On 05/21/2009 at 1:24pm by Zoa
Why did he even tell you something like that?
#35 That was my immediate first thought too...I'm glad most German birth control pills don't come with sugar pills, you just take a break for 7 days, or I'd probably be pregnant by now o.O
And #32 Why wouldn't he? It's not totally abnormally weird...I mean he's her HUSBAND! I sometimes ask my husband to bring me my pills when he's headed to the bedroom where I keep them...most of the time he does bring me the whole package, but every now and then he's taken one out and given it to me.
#39 - On 05/21/2009 at 1:29pm by Puolukka
Awwww I'm sorry dude. My Mom tricked my Dad and here I am. It's all good. Hope your doing ok.
#24 is love. The mother should have left the father and pressed charges. I would have.
Wow, that is pretty messed up. Granted, I am sure you are glad to be alive, but I don't know how I would feel about my dad if I found something like that out.
I wonder if your mom knows? And if she does know, how long she has known....
I think if my husband did that to me, I would divorce him.
#42 - On 05/21/2009 at 1:41pm by patray_angel
theres a lot left out
and your name should be verycre8ive w/out the t
At least he did that much for you. Otherwise, you wouldn't exist to tell this story.
My mom didnt want me either...
My father tricked her too
A) missing a pill will not get you pregnant
b) there is a 24-48 period once a month where it is physically possible for a woman to get pregnant, however because there is no guaruntee WHEN ovulation occurs (the egg can only survive 24 hours without being fertilized) and because sperm are said to be able to survive UP to 7 days (inside a woman) then there is a week and a half period that can be considered the "fertlie" zone
Your mother wouldnt get pregnant from missing a single pill anyway. And depending on how long she had BEEN on birth control? It can take months for the effects to wear off. Many women try for months and months after going off birth control. IS it possible to get pregnant quickly after going ofF? Yes its happened, But women have also gotten pregnant wihle being meticulous on the pill. Thats why its only 98% effective not 100%.
I call BS on this one.
That's the story of how you were conceived, not born.
Don't you people here on FML ever learn? Drinking with your parents never makes for good results.
Oh dear lord, you poor thing. Well at least ur dad wants u....that sux thoe.
#52 - On 05/21/2009 at 4:53pm by smartiez
sorry your dad is an asshole.
You're yur dad's successful happy decievement and yur decieved mother's unwanted mistake. It's irony with the best of both worlds :D
obviously fate, since the chance of getting a child is low low low even if you're trying it all natural.
#55 - On 05/21/2009 at 5:55pm by Dude
Wow, that just sucks....Your mother didn't want a child and then your dad tricked her into having one. Does your mom know about this?
Even while on birth control, your mom could still get pregnant without missing a single dose. My mom was on birth control for many, many years because of menstrual issues and she concieved both me and my brother during that time.
It's just a thought.
At least your dad wanted you!
That's pretty fucked up, but why wasn't your mom taking her OWN pills? I don't understand why your dad even had the opportunity to switch them.
Parents say the gayest things when they're drunk. -.-
THAT WAS HORRIBLE! :O
I'm very glad your father wanted you but that is disgusting and controlling on his part to trick her like that! I had an ex who kept saying, "I'm gonna put a baby in that belly, yes I am". He actualy had unprotected sex with me after he got me drunk once (yeah, my fault for drinking around but still I say he's more guilty). Obviously, I dumped him and haven't spoken to him since. ew. On your dad's part, it is also disgusting that he told YOU about that story, what a way to make you feel unplanned/unwanted and let you in on things that you didn't need to know. I am so sorry.
I feel your pain. My mama didn't need to be drunk to tell me that he wanted all sons, was on the pill when she got pregnant with me, and wishes she had an abortion.
Today I read an FML about a girl who was a "pill baby" because her dad wanted another child and her mom didn't. I can top her sad story because I was a "pill baby" because neither of my parents wanted a child, and I broke up their marriage by being born. FML. :(
Maybe he was trying to show he loves you by taking credit for your existance?
nobody wanted my last little brother, but he is ok with that! :)
we love him!
My mom is the youngest of six, she was born because her oldest brother found all of her dad's condoms and poked holes in them. :>
Just because you weren't wanted at the time doesn't mean they don't love you.
Buddy, I was the result of a broken Trojan and a 40 oz. Quit your bitchin'.
That's creepy on your dad's part, and jackass of him to TELL you about it. :/
#69 - On 05/22/2009 at 2:00pm by jmarie
Your dad is a sick man.
XD
Wow, you definitely don't deserve it. FYL.
Well - you didn't really think that ALL children are eagerly wanted and warmly expected? If you did, then it is a bit naive. You should rather consider how your parents have raised you - if they were good and loving, then nothing is wrong. If not - well, then FYL if you are taking it that badly.
lol #7 :D
#68, oh dear :S I wouldn't tell people that...
Well ... does you mommy love you anyways?
Thats just absolutley horrible! :(
#76 - On 05/25/2009 at 7:31pm by BluuFox
FYl cause your dad's such an asshole.
That's so sad D: I'm so sorry.
wooow well parents told me I was a mistake, suppose to be a boy and I wrecked the boy girl pattern, AND that I was supposed to be an aborted baby :| yeaa, not the best day of my life lol
