Today, I finally told my dad that I hate his girlfriend. I said her daughter's a complete whore, and her son is annoying as fuck. Turns out they were in the house and within earshot, ready to throw me a birthday party. FML

Well, I hope you felt like a complete bitch, because you acted like a royal one.

Well, I hope you felt like a complete bitch, because you acted like a royal one.

How could op be acting like a bitch if he was just telling his dad something, in an area that btw, he thought was private? Op should be allowed an opinion on the girlfriend's family because he might end up living with them in the future. I feel bad for the girlfriend and her kids, of course. But maybe now they can sort out their issues with op?

Just because they were throwing OP a birthday party doesn't make the daughter less of a *****. Birthday parties don't fix promiscuity.

Sorry, but what her daughter does with her own body is her business, not yours and definitely not OP's. Stop ****-shaming. You'll be happier.

What #33 said is right. One nice thing doesn't balance out weeks/months/years of douchery. Maybe having to hear about everyone banging the GFs daughters annoys OP? "I can't buy a pack of smokes without running into 7 guys who's dicks you've sucked!" It's not "**** shaming" it's called not wanting to live with annoyance.

So would you let your own child **** it up? Do drugs? Drink? Get piercings and tattoos? At any age? 34, just because it's 'their body' doesn't mean they should damage it to all hell.

38: While promiscuity is not something anyone should be proud of, it definitely wouldn't be any of OP's business what a single girl does with her body. He's not even her brother, so he shouldn't have any say in her morale. Besides, who's to say how many people is too many to sleep with? As long as she's not cheating on anyone and is clear in her intentions, there is no harm done. Plus "*****" is usually a derogatory term which is not even always relevant to how many guys a girl has been with.

I think she was a "bitch" because of how she said everything. She didn't have to resort to calling them names. Plus, if you're going to tell your dad you don't like his girlfriend and her family, you should probably do it with some class and be sensitive to your dad's feelings while laying out the real issues like, "I know you like them but I find they put me down all the time and treat me unfairly," etc. If you start the conversation with calling them names it will only get your dads back up and make him defensive seeing as he cares for those people; the same way he'd get defensive if someone else started calling his daughter names.

#39 Allowing say, your five year old to do drugs is not nearly the same as not calling someone who is old enough to make decisions about her own body a *****. Secondly, you do realise that girls get called ****** for just about anything right? I know of girls who have been labelled ****** because they have a lot of guy friends or they have big boobs. We have no way of knowing whether or not this girl really is promiscuous or whether OP is just being a dick.

I doubt that the girlfriends daughter is an actual ***** in the sense that she sleeps around a lot. It sounds more like OP was just calling them all names and "*****" or "****" is the typical vulgar name for a girl unfortunately. OP was being really rude in my opinion.

Promiscuity doesn't make you a *****. Getting paid to have sex does.

I just don't understand why anyone would GAF that the daughter is sleeping around.

While OPs language may not have been the best, he was expressing his honest opinion to his dad in private (or so he thought). My guess is that he wanted to get this off his chest before they started thinking of marriage and had to live with these people. It may seem rude to some people, but you don't have to like everybody

#47 The age of said "*****" was never provided. She could be a 9 year old girl. OP probably could have said it without the name calling, however.

He can express himself, but he doesn't have to be rude about it. His dad would probably take him more seriously if he explained WHY he didn't like them instead of just calling them names.

He was honest with him. It is his dad, he has the right to tell him how he feels about his girlfriend and could eventually be his step-mom.

#65 why would you ever call a nine year old girl a *****? It would be absolutely disgusting for anyone to call a child that young such an awful name and there's no excuse. Especially since a nine year old can't consent to sex which means that if she was engaging in sexual activity with anyone it would mean that she's a victim of sexual abuse. Only a complete shit would call a child in that situation a *****.

It really bugs me when people say it's nobody's business, Using that statement I guess no one should give their opinions about anything.

He never called the son a name at all. He was much more direct about why he didn't like him (although this still wasn't crystal clear). The boy is entitled to his opinion, and he seems to have been feeling a form of built up tension. Surely you can relate to snapping at someone? Same concept. I would agree that he could learn to be gentler with his words, but I still see where he is coming from. His opinion didn't spawn out of nothing, and his dad is the adult, so he should be able to put some of the harshness of OP's word choice aside and understand that OP feels very strongly about something. It doesn't matter what the girlfriend's kids were actually like, they could take what they heard with a grain of salt and they'll be all the better for having heard someone's honest-to-god opinion of their character. Needless to say, they now have a strong impression of OP now too, so this is not one sided. They could get OP to flesh out the details and everyone involved could benefit from the resulting growth of character. That's a good birthday gift. Everyone gets to mature a little more that day. And finally, to OP, while your opinion holds weight in this, your dad is the one seeing the woman, so no matter what he decides, it was always ultimately be up to him and at least you could say you put your opinion out there.

#34 ***** - a person (more often than not it is a woman) that has as much sex as you wish you had it (or more).

Just don't eat the chocolate cake OP, it may be tainted by now.

I hope it didn't go straight to throwing fists from throwing the birthday party. You always have to be aware of your surroundings and never assume complete privacy. Plus, didn't your mama tell ya: If you've got nothing nice to say, better say nothin'!

Then if you can't vent to family, then who can you vent to?

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Maybe more us should be 31. Especially seeing the stories we hear on this site.

No, #31, we would not be mutes. We would simply be forced to think of something nice to say. Wouldn't that be such a tragedy?

One thing I learned from years of retail and having worked in a hospital was watch what you say. You never know who is around and who is going to hear you. YDI

Even if they hadn't been around, what the hell is wrong with you and your word choices? Unless her daughter is literally a prostitute, there's no excuse for calling her a *****. Calling her son annoying as **** and saying that you HATE her is pretty damn low as well. They're obviously nice enough to try and throw you a surprise party, and what were you expecting your dad to do anyway? Say: "Oh, my son doesn't like her, better dump the bitch!"?

This was pretty much my sentiment. There's telling your dad you don't like his girlfriend and her kids, and then there's just being rude
