Today, I asked my grandmother what she looked like when she was young. She casually replied, "I was ugly, sweetie. Just like you." FML
Today, I was at the grocery store when an elderly woman walked up to me and said, "Why can't every guy be as handsome as you?" I would have been flattered by the comment, if I was a guy. FML
Today, a stranger told me, “You have a great personality!” I thought it was a sweet compliment until they added, “…because your face could absolutely use some work.” FML
Today, after lifting a 20 pound box of oranges for a woman at work, she turned around to say, "Your acne needs help." I still had to tell her to have a good day. FML
Today, when I finished helping a customer, she said, “Thanks cutie!” When I thanked her she giggled and said, “I just like making people smile, plus I bet you don’t get called that often!” FML
Today, at the grocery store, an elderly woman asked for help with some tea. I lent her a hand, spending a good twenty minutes reading different labels out loud until she found one she liked. After she was done, she handed me a pamphlet and said, "You're a nice girl. I hope you don't go to hell." FML
Today, I was working at my job as a cashier, checking out an elderly woman's groceries. She was very nice, and we chatted for a couple minutes. Once she had paid, she leaned close to me and said, very politely, "I'm so so sorry that I mistook you for a girl at first, young man." I AM a girl. FML
Today, at work, a weird old woman came up to me and told me that it's okay: being ugly isn't a choice, it's nothing to be ashamed of, and that it's what inside that counts. She then hugged me and walked away. FML
Today, I went grocery shopping with my grandmother. Our bagger offered to help load our groceries, to which my grandmother replied, "Oh, what a nice young colored boy." FML

Maybe OP had piercing/s on her face? Some old people can be a little judgemental about that stuff , even over a Monroe or nose piercing... My dad is in his 80's and he never stops criticising people about their "stupid" piercings or even tattoos . Hell, he still criticises my belly button piercing and my 2nd right ear piercing because he thinks it's not right and stuff like that . He's just really stuck in the past . Let it go OP . I'm sure your piercing/s is/are cool , if that is the case . (Sorry for all the "/" marks . I noticed in other comments some people were being the grammar police) . Peace!!

Because the woman is old. Old people have tons of 'get out of jail free' cards. I can't wait until I can go to the store and flip people the bird without judgement! It is going to be great!

It's not always the fault of the elderly. They DO suffer from horrifying things like dementia and senility... Things that make them lose touch.
