Today, I was meeting my girlfriend's parents for the first time. She warned me they were a little weird. Right when we walked in the door, her parents were there to greet us...in the nude. Apparently this constitutes as a LITTLE weird. They both hugged me. FML
Today, I took my girlfriend to meet my parents. My dad thought it'd be hilarious to act surprised and ask me if I'd already dumped the girlfriend I introduced him to yesterday. She slapped me and stormed out of the house before my dad could tell her it was a joke. FML

Today, I decided to introduce my girlfriend to my parents by telling them that we were gonna have a very special guest for dinner. While my mom was preparing the meal she asked, "What does he like?" I'm straight. My parents thought different. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend home to meet my parents. They thought it'd be hilarious to put on ridiculous accents and act like country hicks, spewing obscenities and strongly hinting that we're into incest. She soon left in disgust. I haven't heard back from her since. FML
Today, my parents met my girlfriend's parents for the first time. They not only brought along embarrassing childhood photos of myself, they'd 'accidentally' placed an intimate photo of me and my ex-girlfriend with them. That was their subtle way of telling everyone they prefered my ex. FML
Today, I finally invited my girlfriend over to meet my oddball parents. The first words out of my dad's mouth were, "So, you're the silly girl who agreed to date my dickhead son." It went downhill from there. FML
Today, I met my girlfriend's parents for the first time. We got on the discussion of animals, and I showed them a picture of my cat on my phone. Being a touchscreen, when her father grabbed it, it changed picture. To a picture of my girlfriend, fully nude. FML

#30, it is actually quite different from America, and #31, even though the super size option at MacDonald's was discontinued, most of their food is served in ridiculously large portions. I've been in Florida for the past few days, and I really do prefer Canada. If I lived here I'd be morbidly obese two months in .-.

It's all about control my friends, you can't let your fast food cravings overpower you. On a side note, I have always wanted to visit Canada. I live in Minnesota and hunt up by the border every year but have never actually visited.

It is 5 degrees Celcius (about 40 degrees Fahrenheit) in parts of Alberta right now. Not the weather to be naked maybe, but this is definitely at least hoodie weather. It's not insanely cold.

To be honest, so long as they reveal the joke at some stage that's a pretty cool in-law family to have. My parents are great but have always been quite uptight and conservative, and I used to be in awe of friends' and partners' families who were up for a laugh.
