Let me clarify the shoe rule for those of you asking about it.
While at a party if you fall asleep without shoes on it means that you intended on falling asleep and it is a subtle sign that you are not to be messed with. If you fall asleep at the party and your shoes are on it flags you as fair game because you drank too much and passed out.
If you're not wearing your shoes, and pass out, it makes it seem as if you just fell asleep, and so they don't mess with you, I think. However, if you pass out with your shoes on, well. that sucks. I think that's how it is.

WTF do the shoes have to do with anything? I read some of the comments that say passing out with your shoes on is "fair game" to screw with you - but I went to one of the top 10 binge drinking colleges, and I have never heard this one. Maybe it is newer or older than my uni years 02-06, but ... ?
Regardless, passing out with your shoes on can happen when you're sober. So, stupid rule. We drew on people's faces only occasionally, and only if they got drunk way faster than everyone else and passed out while we were still drinking. Shoes or no shoes.

Studies have shown that wearing shoes while passed out at a party increases the chances of acne spreading.
That sucks...Easy enough to wash it off though, could be a lot worse. I know some guy that passed out in his car at 2AM after partying and some of my friends drew dicks all over his face...He went home in the morning without noticing until he saw himself in the mirror. Not sure whether or not his parents saw it but I'm sure some people did. Withholding my vote on this one

Asher Roth didn't come up with the rule, the rule is that if you're hammered and pass out with your shoes on, people will know you're smashed which means you won't wake up if the screw with you.
