Man or woman?

Today, I talked to my crush for twenty minutes at Wal-mart. Then I realized I forgot to take off my Weight Watchers meeting nametag. FML

I agree, your life sucks (9667) - you totally deserved it (13316)

#1 - On 11/10/2009 at 5:46pm by skullet

haha i know is he going to be like.."Oh my gosh you're fat! I had no idea!" I mean come on..all that says is you are trying to lose weight..big deal

#17 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:32pm by Veritas143

I agree. At least you weren't caught splurging on junk food or something. You're making an effort to get healthy, why would he look down on you? If he DOES look down on you for that, what do you need him for? Surround yourself with people who will support you, not make fun of you or think badly of you for being healthy.

#18 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:36pm by foolsangel

if there was a girl that liked me, and I noticed she was trying to lose weight, that would make more likely to like her

#23 - On 11/10/2009 at 8:01pm by farhil

hahaha nice #17, you made me laugh :) and agreeeed. At least he doesn't think you are lazy. Though that might be a tad embarassing, oh well!

Not only you're making an effort but you also inadvertently showed him that you are not afraid to let the world know, so to speak.
FYL for being embarrassed of your own strengths!

#53 - On 11/11/2009 at 3:06am by alvar

who cares? if you're fat, he already knows you're fat. now he knows you're doing something about it.

#2 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:12pm by owlowl

Exactly, write skinny bitch on it.. problem solved!

#67 - On 11/12/2009 at 1:20pm by spoo

it shows that youre proud that youre choosing to be healthy

#3 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:35pm by JassyJas

Who cares your doing something about it! Be proud your trying

#4 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:40pm by Starfire22

Once I wore my WW nametag in public all day by mistake...I'm sure it's no big deal.

#5 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:41pm by DeathByFalchion

He still talked to you for twenty minutes. That's pretty nice. Obviously the tag didn't bother him.

#6 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:41pm by dramatay

hahaha omg hw embarassing, but i agree at least ur doing something about it

#7 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:41pm by igotabigego

Crush. Wal-mart. Fat reference. Yep. It's all there. Wait.. what's that sound? A distant trumpet? Oh, Brother!

#8 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:41pm by mercyFML

I'm pretty sure the WW nametag didn't make him suddenly realize that you're overweight. Just keep at it!

#9 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:48pm by itsmelen

If he talked to you for 20 minutes he doesn't care that you're fat or he doesn't care that you're fat and he doesn't like you. Be confident and think it's the first one.

#10 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:49pm by MonsterTBW

If you're worried about him thinking you're fat because of the nametag, that doesn't make any sense. He can see what you look like, you know.

#11 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:49pm by Missita

Even if you are in Weight Watchers, you are still skinny by Wal*Mart standards! Go check out your competition at peopleofwalmart.com.

#12 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:52pm by perdix

damn, for real? twenty minutes walk?? I would have died. seriously what's your problem? this isn't a fml.

#13 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:53pm by vjdewina

And a lot of women who go to Weight Watchers aren't really fat. They just like to get a weekly compliment that they look good.

And to point and laugh at the few fat guys who go to the meetings. Or so I've heard.

#14 - On 11/10/2009 at 6:58pm by perdix

Ooooooh. That burns.

#15 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:06pm by samisbamming

If they look down on you for that, they aren't worthy of you. Keep making healthy choices and good luck!

#16 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:10pm by Rosalind39

Honestly, if he/she's the type who would be bothered by dating someone overweight (and many perfectly nice people don't find overweight people attractive), it might help your chances for him/her to know that you're working on losing some weight.

In fact, I don't think it's embarrassing at all to be trying to be healthier. I think you should be proud of yourself.

#19 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:42pm by letitbe56

it's apparent he/she doesn't care about that or they wouldn't have been talking to you. If you make a big deal out of your weight, it might be a turn off to them.

#20 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:42pm by victory25

Big deal, he can already see that you're fat. It's not like the Weight Watchers tag gave it away.

#21 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:50pm by time_consumer

Why even waste money at WW? Just order a diet coke with your Big Mac and large fries. Problem solved.

#22 - On 11/10/2009 at 7:56pm by shaister

The Oompa-Loompas don't take too kindly to mixed sugar humor, Bucko.

#25 - On 11/10/2009 at 8:29pm by azerbaijan

hahahahahahahaha I love how all the other comments were like nah you're fineee! and azerbaijan is just like you're fat, get over it. ahahahaha

#39 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:39pm by Tahinabro

lol...thats wat i was guna say

#64 - On 11/11/2009 at 12:03pm by bom_bom

I want to say that because you are trying to lose weight, that is fine, and maybe you aren't that fat... but let's say you are fat - then its the fat, not the name tag keeping him away from you.

#27 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:02pm by benhc911

hey good for you! i think its awesome that youre trying to be healthier :) and he seems nice to me if you guys had a nice chat.

#28 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:05pm by wowimnotaklutz

Good for you. At least you're not lazy like 70% of this damn country.

Good job, OP.

#29 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:06pm by myballs

don't beat yourself up. I promise he noticed.

#30 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:33pm by FarSide

Gillian?
I knew you were fat already, don't worry. Like all of these people are saying, at least you're trying. And while you're at it, you might want to get your eyebrows waxed. I couldn't tell if our conversation should be in english or wookie....

#31 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:34pm by signupsheetfail

Weight Watchers have meetings? With nametags?

#32 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:43pm by FerrariCake

HAHAHAHAHA.
Oh man, OP, you seriously made my day.
Like others have said, it's not like he never noticed you were fat before, but there's just something about that situation that is absolutely hilarious to me.
How awkward. That's the word.
Either way, sucks for you, but oh man would I have loved to see it.

#33 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:51pm by premiermois

Well he obviously didn't care because you guys had a 20 minute conversation together

#34 - On 11/10/2009 at 9:53pm by snerfsnerf

That's embarrassing. I've done it too. It doesn't seem like it bothered him, though, if he talked to you for twenty minutes. And good for you for going to weight watchers and trying to get healthy!

#35 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:07pm by ladycoyote

Actually, he's a pretty smart speculator. Weight Watchers is an excellent program and if you follow it diligently, you'll lose weight. He's guessing that if he's nice to her now when she's kind of a fattie, he'll really be able to shit that when she's thinner and hot and all the boys start to notice her.

Go for the low-hanging fruit. Even if it's rolls of belly fat.

#37 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:13pm by perdix

This is so not an FML, he's probably happy for you that you're doing something to lose weight.

#36 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:11pm by Avenging_Angel

YDI for being a retard and thinking that the name tag will change anything.
Does she really need to see a tag to know you're fat? She can see that genius!
Plus if anything that tag shows that you are not careless and actually want to loose the weight so the tag probably helped you.

#41 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:54pm by Mortanious

Dun worry hon,
if you're fat he's prolly not interested anyways

#42 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:55pm by GreenDaemon21

Doesn't show OP was a chick, I would have changed he into she lol

#43 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:55pm by Mortanious

Wearing your nametag is a good thing!
it shows you have commitment and commits your time to better your weaknesses!
more likely than not he will be more attracted to you!

#44 - On 11/10/2009 at 10:56pm by GreenDaemon21

I've submitted better FMLs.

#45 - On 11/10/2009 at 11:39pm by jane99

well at least he knows your making an effort to lose weight!

#46 - On 11/11/2009 at 12:15am by bibbit

haha youre fat

#47 - On 11/11/2009 at 12:21am by makesfunofyou

Y'know, if you're fat, he could probably tell REGARDLESS of your nametag. Just sayin'

#48 - On 11/11/2009 at 12:45am by TheHierarch

chances are your crush already realized you were a fat ass

#49 - On 11/11/2009 at 2:16am by Noah_h

Argh I always forget to take off nametags! Everyone always gives me the strangest looks...

#50 - On 11/11/2009 at 2:19am by fireandice27

Try paying attention and putting down the fork.

#51 - On 11/11/2009 at 2:22am by Argerkrieger

Sounds like he works at Wal-Mart? He's the one who should be embarrassed.

#52 - On 11/11/2009 at 3:04am by ragsy

AWWWW muffin

#54 - On 11/11/2009 at 3:28am by Kronic_Kitten

Well, at least he knows you're trying. :3

Of course, if it's a problem for him, then you're probably better off without him. That goes for double if he actually works at Wal-Mart (unless he's in school or something).

#55 - On 11/11/2009 at 4:49am by blastvortex

Does this WW tag make look fat? No honey, your big giant a$$ does.

#56 - On 11/11/2009 at 5:29am by CallMeHush

I'm in agreement with a lot of the other posters here. All the name tag did was show that you're trying to get healthy. Good job. :)

#57 - On 11/11/2009 at 7:12am by AndelleRae

Who talks to a "crush" at Walmart! Someone shoulda snapped a photo of these two hillbillies for PeopleofWalmart.com!

#58 - On 11/11/2009 at 7:53am by warrenpeace

If Wal-Mart is your kind of meeting place for dates, there's a good chance he didn't mind the Weight Watchers tag. Just make sure you keep it among yourselves, rednecks.

YDI for being at Wal-Mart

#62 - On 11/11/2009 at 11:00am by Sparky09

he probably didnt even notice and if he did he didnt care...and if he did care you shouldnt..hes a douche

#63 - On 11/11/2009 at 11:34am by morgangurl12

Apparently he didn't care bc he kept talking to YOU!!! And at least he knows yours trying!

#65 - On 11/11/2009 at 1:24pm by kristidgranger

so? atleast it shows youre putting effort into your figure. dont feel so bad. sometimes being skinny has a serious health pricetag. (mine's related to being hypoglycemic, not fun!)

#66 - On 11/11/2009 at 10:19pm by kelpie

Okay... do the Weight Watchers name tags actually say "Weight Watchers" or is it a generic "Hello, My Name Is..." thing?

#68 - On 11/12/2009 at 5:15pm by ScaryyMary

So... by taking off the nametag you make yourself seem less fat?

#69 - On 11/12/2009 at 11:31pm by Papa_H

Well if it was for twenty minutes, he obviously doesn't mind your company. So he's possibly either impressed you're trying to make an effort and take care of yourself, or wasn't particularly interested in you that way to begin with. In any case, he doesn't seem that bothered by it.

#70 - On 11/13/2009 at 10:47am by tehgeorgeh

Understandably thats could be embarssing but if he is any kinda of dating material he wouldn't and shouldn't care that you go to weight-watchers. It shouldn't make a difference don't worry about it

#71 - On 11/13/2009 at 4:19pm by kidd5660

I'll help you lose the weight sweety, just come by my place for an all out cadio fuk fest!

#72 - On 11/16/2009 at 2:22am by dru67

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you don't act embarrassed, he shouldn't think it's a big deal. He probably thinks you are self-confident, which is a good thing.

#73 - On 12/06/2009 at 12:23pm by CLW

nothing to be ashamed of

what's wrong with trying to lose weight?

#76 - On 12/27/2009 at 12:41am by potato53

If he talked to you for that long he must not have a problem with it. Trust me men like women who take care of their bodies.

#77 - On 01/13/2010 at 2:29am by martic835
