Today, I was babysitting a little boy. I opened up a new bottle of bubbles and it was all goopy and gross so I said "Eww!". The boy then asks, "What's "ew" mean?". I replied with, "Something gross and yucky". Then he pointed at my face and say "Ew! Ew! Ewwww!". FML

I don't understand the problem with proceeded. it's just a word. if the OP were to say "He then went on to point at my face," it would mean the exact same thing but i doubt anyone would have a problem with it.
also, i highly doubt she finds soap gross. the bubbles were probably sticky and dried out, maybe with dirt in it, maybe she just didn't want to get it on her hands. i'm sure her hygiene is perfectly fine.

(No, I'm not a celebrity) and whenever I babysit 8 out of 10, the little boy calls me ugly or fat or something insulting. I never take it personally. Just think, when you were a little girl you probably thought boys or men were yucky, and now, if you were to look at the same boy or man you'd think he's hot or cute or whatever. And creepy enough, 1out of 10 the little boy starts feeling my (YOOHOO) and saying he wants to kiss me. Blech....

the thing about the word proceed isn't that its too smart for people. It's actually the opposite. The person writing the FML tries to sounds smart by saying it and in a lot of cases doesn't even use it properly. It is also WAY overused. In the search box type in proceed..you get over 100 posts
