(0)Sadly, I can relate. I dated a Pokemon-obsessed guy for almost a year and a half in high school who would schedule our dates around the show. Consider that he was a senior when I was a sophomore. He was still a really nice guy, though, so we found ways to work around it. (It's why he saw so many chick flicks in that year and a half.)
It's probably for the best that he turned down the sex. But it still sucks that you're going to lose out on sex for a little while over a damn game. If he's a good guy otherwise, then it might be worth it to grin and bear it.

I think pokemon is a timeless classic. I haven't gotten platinum cuz I think it's a waste since I already got diamond, but yeah. pokemon's just addicting. it wears off after a day to a week, depending on how into it you are.

(0)i love pokemon more than anything (and i'm 17). yes i know its just a game, but in defense i'll say that its one of the best franchises ever and that i cant really blame ur bf for wanting to ditch sex for a new pokemon game. its an excitement only pokemon fans can understand. its an fyl on ur part only bcuz of the bad timing. with a bf like that, u should keep up with the pokemon news cuz we got new pokemon games on the horizon so dont post another fml about the release of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky, Pokemon Heart Gold, and Pokemon Soul Silver! i still think both of u have more to learn about each other. yes, i have a life too

man. When platinum came out, I played for 3-1/2 days straight..and woke up to sex,
i didn't really mind so much, but I'm glad my girl understood why I was a hermit for 3-1/2 days.

(0)I can see where the guy was coming from (no pun intended):
Platinum has just come out and he want to buy it. Naturally he wishes to do so while it is still in stock.
Consider this: Boy does girl, boy goes to buy Platinum post intercourse, Platinum no longer in stock, boy has to wait several days.
However if the boy buys Platinum, he could (in theory) do the girl the following day, or even straight after buying Platinum and not have to wait.
FYL for not knowing the pleasures of Pokemon.
