Ahh, I have to agree with the comments before, that really shouldn't surprise you coming from a college boy. At least, well, 95% of them are like that, I do know a few good guys but most can't keep it in their pants for five minutes, especially when their girlfriends don't go to their school. 1. My dorm only locks the exterior doors after 11pm (it's an electronic gizmo system with little plastic things instead of keys). And many idiots like to leave their room doors unlocked because they're too lazy to bring their keys.
2. It's college, people can lay in bed whenever the hell they want. Plus, the roommate could be spending the night in another room. I have two roommates, and I can't tell you how many weekends I had zero, when they were spending nights in the off-campus dorms or something. People don't spend all their time in their dorm room, there's so much more going on elsewhere.
