Today, I started feeling sick to my stomach. I tried to soothe it with some Ramen, which helped for a while. Later on, I felt worse and threw up the soup. Noodles came out of my nose. FML

Gross. Sick stomachs don't like noodles. Bananas, rice, applesauce, or toast is your best bet for eats. Sorry you're sick, OP. I feel your pain. 2 weeks lying in bed for me. Not really an FML but, it still sucks a little bit. Get well now. :}

makes you wonder why they say chicken noodle soup when really the broth and veggies are all you need. I have thrown up noodles before, so I know how much it sucks.

Gross!! That happened to me once, but with Advil liquid gels....and I can assure you, the liquid inside those capsules will burn like hell when it comes out through your nose! XD

If it was chilly ramen, the nerves in your nose are incredibly sensitive to chilly, and your windpipe too, i've been unfortunate enough to experience both, its almost as bad as a real burn.
Chilly? I bet it's pretty windy, too, what an awful combo. Chilly and windy noodles. At least it wasn't snowing! :P
Seriously though, Ramen is NOT a good sick food. Probably makes you think of chicken noodle soup, right? Except Ramen isn't mild. The seasoning is enough to kick up my heart burn on some days, so I can't say it would be my first thought for a sour stomach.

This happened to me when I was a kid... And the noodles got stuck in my throat, so I had to pull them out, which made me vomit MORE... >.

I guess it's a good thing it wasn't lasagna noodles. Might have been a little stuffy.
BTW... if you smell something foul tomorrow, you probably have some rancid leftover noodles in your sinus cavity.
Oh well. I have seen maggots in every Ramen I have ever had. If you think about it, they are massed produced and shipped to a store. This whole period probably is a few months and it sits rotting on the shelf waiting for an unsuspecting person, you in this case, to take it and eat it, possibly digesting larvae and dust.

seriously this is an fml whenever i eat those as im eating they randomly come out my nose. and it happens with other foods not that big of a deal
gross. plus ramen? that's not too good when you're sick. try chicken broth. no mess to come out your nose later if you do become even more sick.
Act: I tried eating ramen after like 8 beers. 8 beers made my stomach flip but I was able to hold it down like a champ. The ramen pushed it over the edge, I ended up puking all of it out.

Actually, ramen can work for that, especially the chicken-flavoured variety. It doesn't sound your stomach agreed though. I have only one food suggestion for you - keep your soda crackers well stocked. If nothing else, unsalted soda crackers are a commonly held good measure against an upset stomach. Having some antacids (Pepto, Rolaids, Alka-Seltzer, etc.) nearby isn't a bad idea either. Do be careful with Alka-Seltzer though, as it contains a small amount of aspirin in it.

oh that hpnd to me. postop meds made me nauseous and puke and once after eating ramen i was throwing up noodles and felt like i was literally puking my guts out
I once ate a burger and chips (fries) after I'd been drinking. It didn't stay down for long.
Needless to say, ground-up chips do not feel great coming out, especially when little vomit-soaked chunks of potato get stuck in your throat.
Nor do they taste as good as they did before.

Oo man...That sucks! I got food poisoning from orange juice once and that hurt like fire coming up but the worst part was, was that I had eaten pizza with lots of black olives on it that day. I had black olives coming out the back of my sinus cavity for days after that....God, food coming out of your nose is like the worst thing ever.
same thing happened here... only i bought them from a vending machine in a youth hostel... and ... i'm pretty sure i don't like ramen anymore. ps, hope you're feeling better soon.

Ramen usually MAKES my stomach hurt. ): Eat some ice cold apple sauce and drink some ginger ale next time, it always works for my acid reflux.
