Ew, Proactive much?

#1 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:06pm by xshyguyx

You act like it is not normal to get acne. Grow up. Maybe we have something about you that we can say EWW

#5 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:08pm by Kansasgirl

Ew. Proactive sucks.
ACCUTANCE, JA JA JA

#9 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:10pm by lolcartoonhero

I had to do 3 rounds of Accutane over 5 years. :(
At least it improved it.

Proactive made it worse for me.

But yeah, I've been able to see acne out of my peripheral vision for most of my life.

#19 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:19pm by realggirl

If it took them this long to notice, they're clearly not cleaning regularly.

Op, YDI

#20 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:20pm by seanreddog

#9 is right. Accutane that shit! it might make you infertile, it might peel off 3 layers of your skin, and it might make your lips chapped as hell but at least your face won't scare kids on Halloween. Or else you could just go as Freddy Kreuger and win a prize for best costume.

Don't despair, I had acne on my chin all throughout highschool, my Dad nicknamed me "Oxy." But now it's gone and my life isn't in the shitter anymore. Just go to the doctor, and they'll make you all better :) Until then, discover the magic of makeup. Heavy makeup.

#35 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:01pm by Sam_Licker81

Accutane is kind of intense. I was only on it for 5 months and it killed my lips, wounds wouldn't heal and I got SUPER depressed, but it really helped my face. :P Oh, and it's being sued for causing Inflammatory Bowel Disease in patients. Fun times.

#41 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:07pm by Lonely_Lez

do not use accutane, so bad for you. I am not a serious health nut, but taking something that dries up your organs is not good.

There's something better out there, called Retin-A...try and get the mexican formula (much, much stronger for some reason). Its a creme that chemically removes layers of your skin so it regenerates itself faster. Use it for a month, you'll see...it works wonders.

Makes you look younger too

FYI: Stay out of the sun!!!!!

#54 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:44pm by thatoneguyinca

best solution, go to your doctor and see what they recommend

#78 - On 10/04/2009 at 5:53pm by the_stereotype

Anyone who says YDI is retarded. It's impossible to control in some cases.
And anyone who says to get Proactive is retarded. Proactive worsens it a lot of the time.

#80 - On 10/04/2009 at 6:19pm by Duckasaurus

I've never had acne problems.

Thank the Lord for Asian genetics.

#92 - On 10/04/2009 at 7:16pm by FarSide

LOL "Accutane can cause severe, life-threatening birth defects. Never use Accutane if you are pregnant."

that was on the website, WTF

#100 - On 10/04/2009 at 8:14pm by dukain94

proactiv didn't do shit for me
but thank gawd my acne isn't that bad. i'm going to the doctor on thursday so i can get a dermatologist. =)

#115 - On 10/04/2009 at 10:54pm by jessicaislameee

@86 asians get acne...i dunno wtf ur on about

go get health insurance and get yourself to the dermatologist.. that is horrible.. learn how to take care of your skin...

#7 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:08pm by septemberlovebug

It happens naturally and is something most people go through... Maybe treatments don't work for her so there is really not much she can do about it

#67 - On 10/04/2009 at 4:28pm by Sun_Kissed18

go put on some cream
and wash your face more often

#8 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:09pm by pwnrzero

Acne is normal. But if it gets to where you can see it without a mirror.... Come on! Its a problem!

#10 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:12pm by aahas7

Read the book "The Acne Cure" by Dubrow. It helped me a lot.

#11 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:13pm by Goulash123

Do something about it if you notice its that bad

jesus christ man ew

#16 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:15pm by heart604

Do you wash your face in the morning at night with anti-bacterial soap? If you don't, your face will break out massively.

#17 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:17pm by dnlphm94

just because someone has acne doesn't mean that they dont wash their face, some people just more than others. It sucks I know but it's true

Ok, a few pimples is normal, but you try to get rid of them before it gets worse. And if someones face is COVERED in acne, it is their fault. At most I will get maybe three pimples a week, but I use Oxy and they heal. I don't let them build up. YDI

#23 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:22pm by fringle

Not really. Some people just have horrible acne(completely covering their face) naturally even with medication. There's nothing more they can do.

#26 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:27pm by SimplyLaurel

How is it their fault!? You don't know other people's skin. NO ONE wants to get acne. It frustrates me so much when people say that it's people's own fault when they have acne. No. It. Isn't.

#32 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:46pm by realggirl

umm you cant fault anyone for having acne, it's one of the worst diseases out there, it fu*king haunts you, and for years afterward you still suffer when it leaves behind pock marks on your skin. It doesn't come from not washing your face, some people are just unfortunate enough to have really crappy genes.

Its your fault your nose is so big, or that your eyes are so far apart. Ew.

#51 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:34pm by possumisawesome

Acne, one of the worst diseases out there? Seriously?

Cancer: prolonged fight and then die in horrible pain. AIDS: die horribly and transmit it to your sex partners. Alzheimer's: lose your brains and become a living shell of a person.

But oh no, acne, it might make you a little bit ugly!

#66 - On 10/04/2009 at 4:24pm by therealmike

oh, please. Like saying "acne is one of the worst diseases out there" makes cancer or AIDS just a little bit better. Quit being so pretentious.

and #51, my face isn't there for you to look at, it's actually for myself to enjoy, because I'm fucking sexy. And in comparison, i'm assuming you look like a opossum since that's how you choose to represent yourself. congratulations, you're a rodent.

#72 - On 10/04/2009 at 5:05pm by Sam_Licker81

Cancer and AIDS are horrible but people have a tendency to underestimate how traumatizing acne can be and as a result are completely insensitive to it. Let me tell you, it is really hard having acne. When you have large bubbles of red all over your face, you don't even want to go outside. It takes over your life. You feel hideous and depressed. When a kid comes up to you out of nowhere and goes, "Why is your face like that?" then you can can say that people with acne don't have it bad, but until then, you have no idea what you're talking about.

#73 - On 10/04/2009 at 5:22pm by realggirl

At least your not dying.

#85 - On 10/04/2009 at 6:56pm by hornetchik

When suffering from severe acne that you can't get rid of and all the things that come with it (imagine a life of constant humiliation, people making fun of you, people staring at you in public, people frowning and looking disgusted when you say hello, no dating, and continual self loathing) it's easy to wish you were.

#128 - On 10/05/2009 at 3:42am by realggirl

AIDS is people's own fault

#154 - On 11/11/2009 at 12:27am by bored690

Fuck you #51. Youre a bitch and youre not exactly the prettiest pumpkin in the patch either. Noone deserves any of their deformities.

#157 - On 01/25/2010 at 8:39pm by what_the_fail

Wash your face twice a day, drink water, use skin care products.

#24 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:26pm by smishsm0shh

jeeze what a joke. That's what pisses me off so much. So many people think its the persons fault . Try consistenetly washing your face with dermatologist recommended soap and taking anti-biotics without any effect, and then you get people telling you to go wash your face. It makes you feel like shit and want to kill people.

#126 - On 10/05/2009 at 2:36am by friday1892

i bet you look like you tripped and fell face first into an anthill :P

#25 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:26pm by KingMe

Okay. It doesn't matter if he is washing his face correctly or not. Sometimes its in your genes, you have a large build up of oil, etc. I have bad acne for the past several years, and I wash my face about three times a day, drink water, etc. It doesn't matter on that. However, mine is not really really bad anymore and not being able to see....I mean, that's really bad. Maybe he isn't washing, or he needs to take anti-bitiocs. But whatever, they need to start.

#27 - On 10/04/2009 at 2:28pm by ohwoahemilyy

Washing your face three times a day will make it worse. It just dries it out! You should only wash twice MAX and for the people who say to use soap, that is stupid because soap will also dry your face!

#87 - On 10/04/2009 at 6:58pm by hornetchik

if you take all the steps to not get acne, go to a dermatologist. if you don't do anything to prevent it, YDI.

#39 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:05pm by _THE_MASTER_

Go see a specialist. The best dermatologist I found was through my pediatrician, because it is typically a "childhood" problem. They'll find something that works best for your skin type. Everyone thinks they know what works best, but it just depends on your skin. You want to avoid scarring your face, so try to treat it early on.

#40 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:06pm by D2

that sucks :S wash ur face everyday. im acne free becuz of it :) mabe it will be the same for u. or use proactive

#42 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:07pm by jessxoxo28

You're supposed to wash your face 1-2 times a day - that won't magically make everything go away if it's genetic. And Proactiv is very bad for your skin.

#96 - On 10/04/2009 at 7:29pm by bgpink

I had a serious acne problem when I was in high school. It sounds like it was as bad as yours. I went to the dermatologist and he gave me Doxycycline and 3 months letter I was completely healed. I stlll have scars, but the acne is GONE. Although if you are a guy Doxycycline won't work for you-it's for girls from what I know. HOWEVER, at this point your acne is probably a bacterial infection underneath your skin and you'll need antibiotics like I did. Sorry about the acne.

#43 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:07pm by kristenc

The OP is in fact a female..like you.

#109 - On 10/04/2009 at 9:48pm by AAAAHHHH12

DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE. Wash your hands after eating greasy food especially pizza and burgers. Scrub your twice daily with a deep facial cleanser in the shower is best and wash your pillow cases and sheets atleast once a week, and use benzolperoxide aka "zapzit". Thats how i got mine to go away I had pretty bad acne in highschool but i never really figured out how to treat it until after high school. I'm 22 and I still get zits if I don't keep my face super clean.

not possible that you wouldn't know it was this bad as you would other wise be a professional acne joke quoter....

#47 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:26pm by fakepolice

Not true, I've woken up more than once to find something on my cheek obstructing my vision a slight.

#52 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:38pm by possumisawesome

Just go to a dermatologist, or something. Or even your doctor; they can give you something to get rid of it, or at least to make it better! Acne that serious can cause scarring, and you don't want that. DX
I personally use Retin A, and it's great. ;)

#48 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:27pm by x_Leopard_x

Eww!! I hope I don't get acne to the point where I can see it without a reflection....sucks for you tho =P

#49 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:29pm by NGM_47

Whatever u do don't touch them. They could scar. Look at Bryan Adams for example. His face is scared because of really bad acne. Go to a derematogist. U really need to.

#50 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:29pm by movies12

Yeah, because you obviously = everyone on the planet, and your experiences are EXACTLY the same as everyone else's! There's no possible way that someone could take acne medicine and not have it be effective, because it worked for YOU! And every single person is built exactly like you, with the same kind of skin and everything!

... Moron.

#77 - On 10/04/2009 at 5:43pm by liquidskyfire

This is what annoys me. When people assume that because something is a certain way for them, it will be exactly that way for everyone else.

#129 - On 10/05/2009 at 3:44am by realggirl

That's great, but you're still wrong. Dermatologists are not magicians. There have been plenty of people who have gone to dermatologists and still have acne. Just like how there are people who have gone to doctors, and are still sick. Even a different acne medication may not work for her. Don't be naive.

#146 - On 10/06/2009 at 6:12am by liquidskyfire

thats fuckin gross

ydi for having horrible hygene

#56 - On 10/04/2009 at 3:48pm by chipmunk95

IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT HYGIENE. Many times it's genetic, and something no special creams, procedures, or cleansers could cure. Idiot, much?

#97 - On 10/04/2009 at 7:32pm by bgpink

Try the Greek Face Peel.

Sure, it tears off the first layer of your skin...
But it also makes your next layer baby smooth :D

#59 - On 10/04/2009 at 4:00pm by poppies23

Doxycycline is also used for many other bacterial infections -_- . It's not exclusively for dogs. You fail. Try again.

#155 - On 12/09/2009 at 7:50pm by snoosnoo

Pop them!

#60 - On 10/04/2009 at 4:04pm by RPGod

Wash your face more and if you do get acne scars a good safe way to get rid of them is lemon juice. Just wipe a bit all over the scars and although you may look slighly paler it'll get rid of it for good

#61 - On 10/04/2009 at 4:11pm by OuchThatsHarsh

This seems like a copy-cat. One person complained that they realized their acne was so bad, they couldn't shave their uni-brow. It's too bad, lots of unoriginal FMLs.

I feel your pain, OP. Though, mine is not as bad. It's not only gross, but it hurts. My dumb fucking dermatologist canceled my appointment that I was waiting on for TWO MONTHS to go on some fucking vacation. Now, I have to go to another doctor.

#70 - On 10/04/2009 at 4:57pm by ericalew_xo

I'm 21 and I still have horrible Acne my friend who is 19 also has really bad acne. It's just a mear blimish nothing to fear and if someone gets turned off by that they are the superficial bitch that needs to get to know you and not look at you before they judge you

do NOT go on proactive, it didnt work for me or anybody else i know for that matter. its pretty much a huge lie.
go on accutane. that gets rid of it for life. some people have to do 2 or 3 rounds but thats very rare, it usually just takes one and its gone for life!!! do it. im on it and i know people who have been on it with great results.

ISOTRETINOIN!

#93 - On 10/04/2009 at 7:25pm by swooshq

Why are people SO RUDE?! I am so sorry that your skin is that bad. Mine is really bad too, but luckily they are not very enlarged. No topical treatment or oral treatment works on me. I might have to start Acutane, but I'm scared because I do not want to feel suicidal. Anyways, I would never be so rude as to say 'ew' or to say something so hurtful. All I can say is I feel your pain.

WASH YOUR FACE

#98 - On 10/04/2009 at 7:45pm by D4rkSh0gun

I hate how everyone is saying "wash your face", I'm freaking obsessive about washing my face, using acne products, eating right, etc., and I still get acne. It really has nothing to do with hygiene (though if you don't wash your face obviously you'll break out" but a lot of the time it's hereditary, or stress or hormone related, or just freaking stubborn. =/ Maybe try a dermatologist?

#99 - On 10/04/2009 at 7:48pm by sondramcfail

I have a skin tag on my nose that I can see in my peripheral vision, so I know how you feel. :(

#101 - On 10/04/2009 at 8:21pm by littlegolferboy

if you can afford it, get a referral to a dermatologist. they can put you on antibiotic pills plus a prescription strength acne product tailored to your skin type. acne sucks, but luckily you have options to get rid of it.

#102 - On 10/04/2009 at 9:08pm by skyeyez9

you can go to the dermatologist and get stuff for that... just dont get any foamy stuff in a can. burns like hell.

#105 - On 10/04/2009 at 9:32pm by _20jre

therealmike, cancer is a fungus. and unbelievable easy to cure. stop listening to shit on tv. chemo was originally developed for chemical warfare. cancer can be cured with fucking BAKING SODA. ive fucking seen it done. because it happened to me! all of u people hear the word cancer and go "oooooh! i need chemo!!!" chemo kills u faster than cancer does.

and as for aids. keep your legs shut.

#106 - On 10/04/2009 at 9:36pm by ifreakingsparkle

wtf? im pretty sure you cant cure cancer with baking soda.if you could then the world wouldnt be trying to find a cure for cancer so desperately.

#108 - On 10/04/2009 at 9:48pm by mommmma

You're a fucking moron. Seriously. Cancerous cells are SIMILAR to fungi, but they are not the same. They both reproduce in a similar manner (aneorobically), yet the fungi can cause infections, not cancerous tumors. Did you get your information from youtube?
As for chemo being used for chemical warfare, that's more bullshit spouting from your head. The first chemotherapy drug was an agent called arsphenamine, an arsenic compound. It was originally used to terat syphilis. Chemotherapeutic drugs can and are being used to treat non-oncological autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, Polymyositis, Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and prevention of transplant rejections.
Before you go trying to correct me, research it. I've been in the medical field for over 18 years. I have facts to back up my statements. Baking soda curing cancer? HAHAHA Maybe it will work on your down syndrome...

#158 - On 02/22/2010 at 12:45pm by Redrawmonkeybutt

You are not alone. I have the same problem when I have a particularly large pimple in an inconvenient location like my cheek. Maybe you just have good peripheral vision like me--hey, at least it's good for driving! :) BTW, I don't recommend Proactiv. It only made my acne worse even when I'd been using it for several months.

Wash your damn face. We all get acne, and if you do something about it, it won't get that bad.

#110 - On 10/04/2009 at 9:52pm by Pointy130

STFU, #110. "Wash your face" is one of the stupidest things you can possibly say to someone who has acne. Most people wash their faces. I can't imagine why they wouldn't unless they were homeless or something. Also, many factors contribute to acne: clogged oil glands underneath the skin, hormones, sensitive skin, genes, etc., none of which would be fixed by washing your face. I wash my face twice a day (twice is a normal number, not too few nor too many times), eat healthy, exercise, drink a lot of water, and get a good amount of sleep, and I have some of the worst acne I've ever seen. Get your damn facts straight before making ignorant comments.

YDI for being a scrub

#111 - On 10/04/2009 at 9:58pm by mon_e_mons

wtf is wrong with you guys.....it is usually not the person's fault when they have acne. i used to have it (not super bad though) even though i washed my face really well with really good products twice a day. theres a lot of reasons for having acne...hormones, genes, etc. it may just be a phase, the whole teenage acne thing...anyway that sucks for the OP. hope it gets better...if youre a girl maybe try goin on birth control. some of them work miracles for that shit.

#113 - On 10/04/2009 at 10:39pm by mef

I've had that happen sometimes. Like, a zit's so close to your nose, you can look down all cross-eyed and see part of it. It's annoying because you think there's something on your face or in your way that you can brush off, but you can't.

#114 - On 10/04/2009 at 10:44pm by Bonsai89

haha I had no clue people are so defensive when it comes to ance. y'all should make an orginization. if midgets can make one. so can u guys :D

proactiv DOES NOT WORK! It's make your acne even WORSE! I used to have minor acne a few months ago and when I used proactiv it turned into severe ance! thank god I stopped using it and went to the derm. now I don't have any acne but I still break out from time to time.

#119 - On 10/04/2009 at 11:34pm by jap1198

So many people are making derisive comments about how she deserves it for not washing her face often enough, but in some cases at least, I think washing too much can be what causes bad acne.

My brother had bad enough acne that he needed a prescription for it, and he did all that frequent washing. I, on the other hand, never washed my face separate from taking a shower, which I did more like every three days instead of each day, yet I never had more than the slightest amount of acne. I'm sure admitting that will probably get people trying to insult me and saying I have bad hygiene, but I don't think washing your skin every single day is even healthy. It was when I took showers every day that my skin felt awful, and decreasing the frequency felt so much better.

I'm no expert, of course, but to me it seems likely that it's similar to the immune system and diseases, where if you live your life in a clean room and never have any exposure to anything, you won't develop any immunity. Cleaner and cleaner isn't always better.

tea tree oil was a winner for me

#122 - On 10/05/2009 at 12:39am by n0thingp3rsonal

Tea tree oil is pretty nice and can work well given the right context. In high school and the begging of college, I had pretty bad acne as well. I also sebaceous cysts, or at least I think that is what it was, which sound like what you are describing. I have had some that were so big the I could see them out of the corner of my eye, which caused a lot of frustration and depression in my life, I would like to think that I am a more confident person as a result, however.
For me, I did have bad hygiene at first but even when I started taking good care of myself, the symptoms persisted. The solutions that I have found effective are:

-Keep the linens you sleep on clean
-Cut long hair (Sorry, but it has to go if it keeps rubbing on your face)
-Stop drinking soda (Many people don't realize that this seemingly harmless beverage causes lots of problems in many people, it may just be the amount of sugar that is consumed in each can but it is an unhealthy drink, period)
-Don't eat greasy foods
-Drink a lot of water

I wouldn't trust Accutane as I have heard it does horrible things to you that really aren't worth it in the end. I haven't heard anything about proactive but judging by the previous comments, I would not trust that either. You might want to pick up so moderate face wash in addition to the steps I have listed above but IMHO, that should do the trick.

#123 - On 10/05/2009 at 12:59am by Fye

make up doesn't help. it makes it look like acne with make up on it. and make up makes it worse

#124 - On 10/05/2009 at 1:49am by CrystalCryptonit

Honestly, Accutane is different for every person. It has the potential for some nasty side effects, and if you are pregnant you are told to not even touch the pills. I had some pretty severe acne and not even prescription creams and things like that would help. I took Accutane and after the full 6 month period i was free of acne and havent had problems in the 3 years since. I didn't have any problems except for the fact that I got sunburned easier and had chapped lips.

#125 - On 10/05/2009 at 1:56am by Jaypea

First of all, sometimes washing your face too much is too harsh on your skin. And strips the skin of it's natural diet. You need to go to a specialists to find out what type of skin type you have. I had some acne for a while. here's the miracle, I decided to become a vegetarian/vegan in three days I noticed my face was clearing up. It's been about 2 months now and I haven't had a single breakout. I miss meat but It's worth it to me to have clear skin. P.s. I also didn't eat junkfood, or foods high in sugar. So basically i ate healthy.
Good Luck pal.

Retin-A worked wonders for me, like what a previous commenter mentioned above.

I see everyone is pitching for different products and methods to get rid of acne.
But as some people have already pointed out it is very very individual.

A GENERAL tip is to not clean your face too often!
Thats right, people with acne often clean their face a lot more and carefull than people who do not have acne, in a sort of franatic way. This is bad, cause it dries out your skin and makes your body panic to produce more fat to the skin which is food(!) for the acne bacteria!
Cleaning and washing too often feeds the acne..

2 times a day is best, and keep your hands off!! Change pillow cases every 2-3 days or so.

Then, try out what medecine works with you. And stay away from nature hippie shit medecine.

#133 - On 10/05/2009 at 9:57am by enlitenbank

I found a product on ebay that worked very well but be sure you aren't allergic to the ingredients in it.
http://myworld.ebay.com/clearandsmooth/

Other than that, changing pillow cases every week and keeping your hands away from your face are super important things. There's loads of bacteria all over your hands just waiting to get on your face and cause problems.

#134 - On 10/05/2009 at 10:31am by olliec

Change your pillow case more frequently. My brother never changes his, and his acne is terrible.

#135 - On 10/05/2009 at 12:25pm by microtrd

I had that bad of acne and took something called Accutane. It has to be prescribed by doctors tho, and the meds are expensive, but you get friggin good results, I promise. It's just harsh on the system for awhile. But leaves no marks, no acne...

#136 - On 10/05/2009 at 12:55pm by pwned00

I mostly enjoy how people seem to have a lot more sympathy for acne than being fat, even though acne is pretty easy to get rid of with a couple of creams from a drug store.

Seriously, though, if you put some peroxide on them they'll get better. Your skin might be dry, but it's better than acne ridden. Or you can just go with the various medicines everyone else has prescribed, even though Accutane has a history of severe prolonged side effects.

#137 - On 10/05/2009 at 1:29pm by squidjoy

Spironolactone helps if you want to try something before Accutane :)

#138 - On 10/05/2009 at 2:17pm by mrsnesbitt

i think that everyone needs to leave this poor kid alone.
obviously his acne isn't his fault, its not like he asked to be like this.
no one on here has the right to critisize him because he has bad genes.
i have acne. it's not as severe as this person's but i understand how difficult it is to deal with it.
and different acne products work for different people. let this person go to a dermitologist and find out what works for him. he can take advice from a real professional not people on the internet.
so stop daying YDI and eww since thats not very mature.
maybe one day you will wake up and have gigantic zits on your face and then you'll know how it feels.

#139 - On 10/05/2009 at 3:50pm by meganrulezd00d

bugger to all those idiots who say dumbass things like wash your face more or 'you should have taken care of it before it got out of control'
what the hell does having acne have to do with not washing your face, people can take a world of care on their face, but acne is HORMONAL

don't listen to them, I do advise you go to a doc/derm; dont trust over the counter acne products, or proactive or murad, trust the doc.

good luck

#140 - On 10/05/2009 at 5:22pm by star_blueanise

YDI there are various acne treatments are you too lazy to go to a doctor?

#141 - On 10/05/2009 at 6:10pm by MetalCraze

Don't drink soda drink lots of water

#142 - On 10/05/2009 at 10:15pm by airsoftislife

dude I don't have any acne on my face but I have it severe on my chest and back and I've been going to the dermotologist for like 7 months and nothing works. The sun helped though, when I got a tan.

#143 - On 10/05/2009 at 10:52pm by Brendude

yo, i would highly recommend using acutane, and suggest not using pro-active, pro-active only usually worked the first couple times then it had about no effect. and acutane really dries up your face so if u have really greasy skin, and it doesnt help washing it or using other medications, then definately use acutane. it might really dry up your lips and around your mouth but u can always put some skin cream to moisturize it. it also might take a couple months but i would say its worth it.

#144 - On 10/05/2009 at 11:15pm by Garciafever

it's called a Dermatologist, you should see one.

#145 - On 10/06/2009 at 12:06am by thefury

How do you know she hasn't?

Oh, that's right, because there's no POSSIBLE way someone could go to a dermatologist and still have acne! Because dermatologists = magicians, right?

#147 - On 10/06/2009 at 6:19am by liquidskyfire

Ho-lee shit! Wow... that's disgusting man. See a dermatologist or something... good God...

#148 - On 10/06/2009 at 9:46pm by Herborist

Wow dude.. You made me crack up at that for ages! :P

#149 - On 10/07/2009 at 7:48am by Soapbub123

proactive works for me. though it is stronger than most acne washes. I've hardly ever had any acne in my past 8 years of pre-teen to teenage years. (I'm 16) then again I've washed with proactive since I was 9. lol I don't recomend neutrogena.....it's useless. in my opinion atleast. ^_^;

#150 - On 10/07/2009 at 6:09pm by moonlit_manga

A lot of times using harsh cleansing products makes the acne worse...that's what happened to me. My doctor gave me a very strong antibiotic cream and it made my skin blotchy and red. Before trying out products like Proactiv or Accuane, I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the Origins Skincare line (google them) to anyone with acne/breakouts. Their products are so much gentler for your skin and they're worth every penny. Ever since I started using it, my acne just disappeared and I've used it for quite a while now.
