Today, I was in school when I got up to ask the teacher a question. For no reason, the guy sitting next to me punched me in the gut so hard I collapsed and saw stars. The teacher simply rolled her eyes and told me to get back to work. FML

Today, while at work, I was asked if I wanted to leave early. I said no and let my coworker go instead. Two hours later, I was punched in the face by one of my patients, with absolutely no warning or provocation. FML

Today, I fell asleep in class. Usually, people just sit still when asleep. Nope, not me. Not only had I been violently rocking and nodding my head, the teacher stopped class for everyone to see for 5 minutes as she made jokes. What woke me? The intense laughter, followed by embarrassment. FML

Today, I ran a mile for my gym class. While I managed to cut two minutes off my time, a few minutes later I felt dizzy and nauseous, which I thought was because I pushed myself too hard. I collapsed and vomited in front of everyone. Not a single person moved to help me. Not even the teacher. FML

Today, during gym class, my teacher insisted that everyone should relieve some stress by throwing a basketball at the wall. I wound up and hurled the thing at the wall, it bounced back and hit me in the stomach. I began to vomit uncontrollably. Even my teacher laughed. FML

This is so obviously wrong (an assault in class for apparently no reason) and the teacher either ignored what happened or condoned it! But because it is so obviously wrong and out of whack it makes me wonder what the rest of the story is?… Is this some sort of “Oliver Twist” school of sanctioned bullying and outlandish behavior?… Is there something important OP left out about what he did or said that casts some degree of blame on them?… By the way, my impression was that “seeing stars” comes from a blow to the head and not necessarily from a blow to the gut. But maybe people are different in their reaction to pain or a hit…
