Today, I took my car into the shop to get a minor problem fixed. I left several hours later, without my car. Why? The mechanic crashed it while out on a test drive to make sure he'd fixed the problem. FML

Today, after getting my car completely fixed after it being damaged for a year, I was driving and the entire side panel on the car fell off. The repair man forgot to put the screws back in. FML

Today, I finally got my car back after it was in the auto shop for a week. On my way home, I started swerving all over the road. It turns out they didn't tighten the lug nuts on one of my wheels properly. FML

Today, my car broke down. I pulled to the side of the road to call a tow truck. After waiting what seemed like hours, the tow truck showed up, and then ran into the back of my car. FML

Today, I took my car to dealer because of the loud knocking sound I heard while driving it. Twenty-four hours later, they told me it was fixed. Fifteen minutes after I drove away, the tire flew off my car while I was on the highway. My car is now totaled. FML

Today, I picked my car up from the shop. After 5 minutes I noticed the oil and check engine light on. I pulled over, then the engine shut off completely. Turns out they forgot to put oil back in my car. I'll be needing a new engine. FML

Today, my car broke down. My dad insisted he could fix it, but screwed up in the process. After finally getting the car towed to a mechanic, I was told that I'd only needed a new water pump, but thanks to the damage my dad did, fixing it all will cost me a small fortune. FML

Bright side: You get to buy a new car with all the money they will need to give you for your old one. I think by "crashed", you mean had sex with a hooker and killed her, then drove over a cliff, jumping out just in time, to dispose of the evidence.

"Sue them" is the dumbest response. Seriously. Unless he makes his living driving that vehicle (and driving TO work doesn't count) the court will throw it out. WHY? Businesses have insurance...for exactly that reason. Dumb ass. The business will be getting it fixed or be getting him a new one, on their dime. Nice response godhelpme92, I hope you get hit by a car, and don't survive to sue the poor person who hit you.

Sue them. If they didn't immediately provide you with a temporary car then you every basis to sue. In fact, if they don't replace your car, repair completely, and compensate for any extra time or money you may have spent on their account you have a clear cut case to sue for at least a few grand.

What kind of fairytale do you people love in that you think you get a new car in an accident? You get it repaired unless the frame is dented. The only way you get a new one is if you purchased new, it is less than a year old and your policy includes it. I'm sure the business ins doesn't have it
