Wham bam thank you m'am

Today, I found out if you slide down the stairs on a foam mattress topper, it just folds under instead of sliding. Then you slide the rest of the way down on your knees and break your nose at the bottom. FML

....Why did that sound like it would work? Sleeping bags and mattresses work because they're smooth and matresses don't bend. o_O Foam bends too easily... and it's not smooth at all.

I would normally say you deserved it but I probably would do something that stupid if I was left alone with a foam mattress.

Never go down the carpeted stairs with anything flexible. No sleeping bags, no mattress, no inflatable mattress either! I've done it before... you need particle board. The really slick wood boards you get when you have a bookshelf or entertainment center. But since it doesn't been, when you hit the floor it busts! So make sure you don't need the board!
