Trespassing

Today, a tenant in my apartment block told me about a nice shady place behind our building where he often goes to relax. Curious, I went looking for it. It was a quiet and secluded courtyard. At least until a man came out of nowhere waving a hammer in my face, screaming in a foreign language. FML

I think she meant the other kind of shady.

That's probably where the people in your building go to get hammered.

So, let me see if I've got this right? Some random neighbor told you about a shady place, and you went to investigate, without any caution or further inquiry? YDI, but at the same time, I'm glad nothing worse happened to you. Take this as a lesson.

Anyone else imagine a tiny Asian man go "you no sit in my spot!!" lol no? well ok then.

Damn op, don't be so melodramatic. The poor guy was nailing up a welcome sign when he accidently wailed his thumb. By the way, he usually speaks perfect English.

They were probably upset you didn't offer to bring nails to make this courtyard even more serene and relaxing. But in all seriousness, neighbors sucks.

"A secluded courtyard" clearly sounds like someone's private property! YDI.
