Today, my daughter asked why there was an X marked on a telephone pole. I told her it meant that they were going to remove it. She started crying and saying, "They can't kill the tree!" She's 16. FML

on a different note, during a job in Victoria once i did come across a tele pole that someone has climbed and placed fake palm foliage on the top. just to "tidy up" the poles. looked quite neet. and realistic from a distance.

A pole, the tree dead already, another one is probably been cut already, they should be street lamps with double duty, seriously street lamp for light and tree for power and phone lines? when there's strong light pole already there. You people do know everything that breathes on earth needs trees for oxygen right? Oooops there goes our rain forest.
