Today, my boyfriend presented me with a 30-minute montage video of him working out and flexing his muscles as my anniversary gift. FML

Return the favour by sending him a 30 minute video of you putting on makeup or combing your hair. It's only polite.

Wait, that's NOT a good gift?!?! ****, I just wasted a lot of money on body oils, dozens of copies and custom DVD boxes! Gotta redo Christmas shopping for my whole family!

Show it anyway

Why should she thank him for being full of himself?

15, That's a funny way of saying **** off

That's actually kinda cute...definitely a change from the whole flowers and chocolates thing which can get old. He's showing you he works hard to look good for you and they say if you got it...flaunt it! Or he's a self centered narcissist... one or the other.

I like that he is trying, There are ways to change that without being too "overbearing/ demanding ". 1. Make a "wish list" of things you like/enjoy. 2. Ensure list is financially reasonable 3. Add things that can be ordered 4. The more options and the better documentation the more likely you will get the outcome you want

How would that not be too overbearing? Sure you can make a list for Christmas, but for an anniversary? That would basically be like saying "you better get me something on here for our anniversary or else". Anniversary gifts are supposed to come from the heart, not from what the other person tells you to get.

To be fair, it might be better for some couples. It's hard to set a standard for every relationship. Some people are bad gift givers, maybe at least hints or a general idea of where to go might help.

Eh, I always keep a wish-list on Amazon year round. Not because I expect gifts from it, but because sometimes my husband wants to surprise me with something and he wants to make sure its something I want. And when I have a little extra spending money myself it makes it easy to buy something. And family is always asking what I want for Christmas so I make the list year round and always have a variety of price ranges... It's fun window shopping for me as much as anything too, I never expect anything I add

Sounds like you need a man friend, not a boy friend lol

I could psychoanalyze this like a champ! But I would get blocked. Lame haha but FYL unless your happy In your relationship then it shouldn't matter to much I guess...
