Today, I was adjusting my nose piercing from the inside. My mother saw and thought I was picking my nose, so she slapped my hand away, tearing my nose ring out in the process. FML

Today, my nose had been feeling weirdly uncomfortable all day. After I got home, I blew my nose really hard. I found that a bug had been resting inside my nose the entire time. FML

Today, I had a spur of the moment idea to go have my nose pierced. The piercer made sure to tell me how easily the little stud could get caught or hung up. I spent all day stressing over it only to scratch my nose and rip it out. Now I have a $40 bleeding hole in my nose. FML

Today, marks the seventh day of having my nose pierced. I'd done everything I was supposed to do, even sleeping with a band-aid over it. This morning, I woke up to my piercing being ripped out by my pillow, and the band-aid nowhere in sight. FML

Today, my 5 month old son decided that my lip ring was a toy. Thinking it would be ok, I let him touch it. He got his finger caught and pulled his hand back. The lip ring is still in, but now I have a huge gaping hole in my face. FML

I feel your pain, OP... Had so many similar mishaps with many of my piercings... My mom consistently poked my navel piercing while it was healing, my aunt tried to pinch my brand new eyebrow ring off my face because she thought it was a mosquito, and I was constantly hitting, poking, or getting my hair tangled in my helix and lip piercings when they were new. And somehow it's always just that much worse when you do it yourself...

I just don't understand how you would mistake the piercing for a bug. Out of all of mine, never had that problem. I have forgotten a new one and scratched that spot, which sucks tremendously!
