Today, I witnessed a hit-and-run. I used my phone to write down the license plate for the police. However, I didn't notice that my phone had autocorrected the number. FML

"Thank you sir for contacting us, please read us the plates so we can track this guy down," the officer requested politely. "Oh sure, it's 8-0-0..8..1..3..5.... Uh.."

Um a moving vehicle is too quick for opening the camera app (even from the lock screen) and snapping a picture, but you can remember the sequence long after the vehicle is gone, long enough to write it down anyhow.

Go to the police and explain, I'm sure they'll understand (hopefully)

yeah but then you dont have the plate number to help out

And that is why I love my note 3 action memo right on my sview window and write it down yourself

First of all: **** Second of all: Why risk taking a blurry photo? Especially when assuming you wrote the plate number correctly.

Seems like a picture would have accomplished the same thing, made sure who was driving the car, and doesn't get autocorrected.

At least you didn't get a ticket for distracted driving
