Today, I went to a bar with two guys I was interested in. The first I'd been trying to go out with all semester. The second I had gone to dinner with and he seemed nice. I was the designated driver. They drank too much and, on the way home, hooked up in the back seat. FML

The night consisted of me sitting in the back seat of his friend's truck while they drove around to pick up things for the party they were going to have that same night. After they picked everything up, he asked where I wanted to get dropped off. FML

Today, I got stood up by all five of my friends. I had to spend two hours getting hit on by a guy because I didn't feel safe to drive home. Their excuse? They didn't think I was serious when I said I was already at the bar. FML

To all you who are confused -- I think that the poster is gay. While it makes this FML less shocking/funny, it makes more sense. Also kind of makes sense with the nick: "sad_gay". By my reading, the story's more like this: "I'm a gay man who tried to take out two guys I'm interested in. However, things didn't quite go according to plan, and instead of hooking up with me, they hooked up with each other." Would have been funnier the other way!
