My life mate had to leave the state for work. She eventually had to come back a year later due to a series of horrible events. But breaking up was never once an option. We've been together now closing in on 17 years.

I am in a long-distance relationship, I am a guy and I can say that as long as its not the first time you send him a message like that he is perfectly fine. It's nothing but a funny reply and he should answer later properly. Don't worry about it and don't overthink too much... have some sense of humor, it never hurt anyone.
