Dude, it's possible it can get lost up there, but you shouldn't have to go to the hospital to get it out, since it shouldn't be pushed in that far. 99% of the time (unless you haven't changed it for days and it migrates...gross!) you can just use your fingers to pull it out (which is also gross, but it's better than paying a hospital bill). I've been using them for ten years and I've never had a string break on me. I've also never had it get lost inside of me.

that can't happen.. the string is made out of like 5 really string strings twisted together genius.. it's very doubtful that they would all break
