Today, I sat on an elevator for 10 minutes thinking I was stuck. After waiting awhile I looked at the screen to see what floor I was stuck on, only to realize I hadn't pressed a button so I had just stayed on the ground floor. FML

Today, my building's elevators were temporarily out of service. I climbed up 17 flights of stairs only to realize I left my keys downstairs. After the painful climb back up, the elevator lights came on. FML

Today, I got stuck in an elevator. The help-line told me, "Don't touch the door. We'll be there soon". Two hours later, I had a headache, my legs were stiff, and my date must've thought I stood her up. The tech finally arrived, pries the door open, then rudely asked, "Why didn't you do that yourself?" FML

Uh, no. Elevator mechanics can't do anything while they are stuck in an elevator. Maybe, he was working at a place where there are multiple elevators, and he used a working one and got stuck in it. It's not like he can do anything if he's stuck in an elevator on the way down.

being stuck in elevators suck. When I was about 8 or 9 I was visiting my grandfather in the hospital, I was hungry so my grandmother gave me money to go downstairs and get something to eat. Some asshole pulled the fire alarm while I was in the elevator and thus I got stuck alone until the fire department brought the elevator down.

Well I'm sure you couldn't get out, you'd be the most experienced in knowing how to get out of a broken elevator. You were probably fixing the elevator in the first place.
