Today, I found out that my entire family thinks I have no friends, am expressionless (to quote, "a robot") and that my monotonous voice hints at the suppressed depression hidden deep inside me. According to them, I need psychic evaluation. It all came out during a family reunion. FML

Well, maybe you do need a PSYCHIATRIC evaluation. They must be pretty worried about you to bring this up, or complete assholes, but for an entire family to agree hints at something deeper. What's the harm in some evaluation? £100, perhaps, but for your mental health, a small price to pay.

It's a family reunion. Trust me, it could have been worse. Also, is it cool having no emotions?

expressionless doesn't mean you don't have emotions he could maybe have SPD or something and just have no affect and not be interested in many relationships

im guessing we're on the same boat. except its not my family that thinks i am emotionless. its my classmates. -.-

i get that all the time as well =/ im so glad to discover another humanbeing like meself lmao

did u really use the phrase "to quote"? I am now going to have to destroy u

I could be wrong, but I took it as the family wanting some sort of psychic or mindreader or whatever to evaluate OP and come up with some ridiculous "cure." This, obviously, would make OP's life even more ****** since (s)he has to live with those people. Could be wrong though, seems like everyone else took it as a mistake. xP And OP is from Pakistan, so don't rag on their English too much. OP- FYL. I personally have a face and voice that doesn't convey expressions/feelings well unless I do it consciously, and teachers often ask me if I'm depressed. However you can ask anyone that knows me and they'll say I'm fine. Sorry your family isn't looking into the situation too deeply.
