Today, I discovered that sitting in the back of your car from 8-9 p.m. talking with a friend in a park area is suspicious enough behavior to have cops called on you, then for backup to arrive. FML

and you've lived in America for how long now? that is normal for cops, if there isn't a problem bring backup and we'll make it a problem

If there is another cop nearby, who isn't currently engaged, backup always arrives - even for routine traffic stops, like running a stop sign. Usually there isn't a cop near enough to make the effort, but in a city park at night, their will typically be more than one patrol passing by, and so it would be more surprising if backup didn't arrive

Did they just check on you or were they nasty about it? A lot of times its in response to a complaint and they just need to check it out.
