Today, I came home tired and hungry from work. I put my feet up and sat down with a big bowl of chips and salsa. I thought I must have been really hungry because my regular no-name salsa tasted way better than usual. I looked down to examine the jar. Looks like I like the taste of mold. FML

Well,both mold and mushrooms are fungus.And most fungus aren't harmful.It's not that bad.

my lord. look before you eat!!! am i the only one that looks and smells everything before i eat it??? i even smell the water in my water bottle. one time it smelled kinda like broccoli. turns out it had mildew. good thing i smelled it. LEARN PEOPLE!!!!

Well, Paranoid Person (or Mr. PP for short) has a point. You SHOULD always check before consumption, especially if it's something you've had for a while or if you've stored it incorrectly for a certain time (for example, leaving a pot of sauce on the stove for a day). Not really an issue of paranoia, just being smart about what you're absorbing... though, smelling water bottles might be a little far... just check the date, dude lol

Unless the mold is harmful, who cares? If it tasted better, maybe you should always let your salsa get moldy before you eat it.

I mean, cheese is really just moldy dairy, and it's delicious! So, it's not totally whacked that you would like the taste. I'm sure it still grosses you out, though. Sorry.

hahaha, one time some friends and I were eating salsa and we were wondering why it tasted so zesty. Turns out it had fermented. (I would say fermentation is not quite as bad as mold though)

ouch. the other day my cousin made spaghetti and when she was about to put the rest of the spaghetti sauce away she noticed it had mold in it. :/
