Today, after a month of complaining that she doesn't see me enough, I spent the weekend at my mother's house. I got there, only to discover that the only food in the house is Lucky Charms, Coca-Cola and Bailey's. I'm not old enough to drink Bailey's and I hate Coca-Cola. FML

You're staying at your mom's house for two days and the only actual food in the house is Lucky Charms, and you're complaining about what to drink? Either your mom is about to go to the grocery store, only eats out, or has a serious health problem. It's probably one of the first two, so you'll be fine. Drink some water in the meantime.

Based on what I have read I guessing that you don't live with your mom. Why don't you let her know what you do and don't like so next time you experience is better with your mom. However if your an adult then your mom should already know what you do and don't like.

How about she act like an adult and bring her own beverage or just drink water. I've never visited my mother, even after moving out at 19, and expected her to have something for me when I visit. I bring my own or ask if I can have something.

It's a good thing you are a "teechur" instead of an actual teacher, because you would utterly suck at being the latter. First up- OP's name for the post is "divorcedparents," which, combined with the fact that OP didn't say their mom is making them buy food with their own money, makes it likely that OP is a MINOR. Which means that if their mom wants to spend time with them, especially for more than an hour, she needs to accommodate their needs. Having ONLY cereal (with no milk at that!), liquor,

Second off, what part of wanting ACTUAL FOOD instead of cereal three times a day is wanting their mom to cater to every whim? The answer is that NOTHING in the post says that. So not only do you fail at basic deduction skills, but you lack compassion, and suck at identifying signs of neglect. Which, yes, lack of food availability to a child IS neglectful behavior.

Also, "teechur," water in some areas- especially tap- is actually so unsafe to drink that people have to buy purifiers and/or boil water. The fact you are trying to put the blame on OP for their mother being either a space cadet or uncaring enough to a degree that they failed to buy food is, frankly, disgusting. Not to mention that you completely ignored the fact that OP didn't want to be there to begin with, but their mother emotionally manipulated them for weeks by guilt tripping them. But you
