I would definitely want to do that, most normal humans would, but sometimes we have to keep our hands off of things to avoid trouble. Get him out of there...yes, absolutely! But in an organized way that benefits yourself and leaves him to deal with both where to go and what to do with his stuff.

If he has to move out secretly, I'm strongly wondering if the problem isn't you here, and you simply aren't able to handle him breaking up with you, so he's trying to slip away without you knowing.
