You still have a right to be upset, but it’s only light sedative they use anyway and the camera is smaller than any poo you’ve ever done, it won’t so much hurt as it will just be awkward being in a room full of people while they have a look around down there

Are you sure they weren't just using fancy language to tell you to "shove it up your ass!" It's the prep beforehand that is the real pain in the ass.

It's not the camera that is the problem.. they have to fill the bowel and large intestine with air to freely move the camera and actually be able to see everything. *That* is where it gets rather uncomfortable.

OP didn’t say they couldn’t have pain relief though, only that they wouldn’t be able to have aesthetic, almost all my patients have woken up towards the end of their colonoscopy with no concerns
