Today, completely excited, I told my mom about this guy from high school that I had really liked and who had found me on Facebook. He said he regretted not asking me out in high school and offered to fly me out to visit him. Her response? "Has he seen what you look like now?" FML

Thats so terrible, i would have slapped my mum that is sooo not nice!

Your mom is a bitch there is no way to sugar coat it..... you would probably eat it

Yet another NEI (Not Enuff Info) FML... How long has it been since you were in HS? It is relevant. It's TOTALLY valid for ANYONE that cares about you to question the motives of someone you obviously don't know very well to fly you across country sight-unseen!! And... have you seen a pic of him?? It might not even actually be the guy you liked in HS. What will you do if he forces himself on you as soon as you get in his house?!? How are you getting back home?!?!? No info, no vote.

Wow! I can't believe your mom said that. That's really mean. Ah well, don't listen to her.. Everyone's beautiful in their own way, maybe she just needs glasses. =]

for the last time wat does OP mean

I interpretate this FML like this: she was in love with the guy when they were in highschool, but he didn't ask her out because he found her/ she was ugly. Now, many years later, he finds her on facebook, and because she's pretty now, he asks her out. And her mother just pointed out that he only wants to date her because of her looks, not her personality.
