Today, I saw the girl I like had posted a status on Facebook, saying, “I’m sick of being lonely, why don’t any guys wanna date me?! I think I’m gonna spend my life alone.” I asked her out once and she turned me down. When I commented this fact on her post proving her statement untrue, she blocked me. FML

No one likes to be called out as in the wrong. My assumption is what she really meant was that no one she wanted to date her was interested in her... One big problem with living your life through the movies or **** or online is that the people you see there are all attractive, sexy, and witty. Real life requires figuring out where you stand in the pecking order and taking advantage of the opportunities actually open to you. Pining away over class royalty who were blessed by attractive good looks, charm, and wealth is a huge waste of time and emotion. Take a second look at the people who might actually be attracted to you and appreciate your attention. It applies to men and women. Both sexes have standards that can be hard to meet. But we are all individuals with pluses and minuses.

Because proving her wrong is just pointless and useless. He could have been empathic, for example saying their loss you are very fun and attractive person, someone will be really lucky to date you. Just because someone is lonely and wants to be with someone does NOT mean that you are an option if the other person is not interested. If she said no to you previously, she clearly is not interested and that did not give you the right to rudely call her out on her own post so of course she blocked you. Even if the roles were reversed and a woman commented that on a man’s post, it still would be a rude thing to comment.

Have got to say that I personally find it embarrassing that you called out this girl publicly. I know it sucks to get rejected but just respect her decision and don’t pay it any mind if she complains about her love life. Besides, if someone rejects you then they just aren’t the person for you.
