Today, I discovered that I have dandruff, which I've never had before. I googled the possible reasons, some being depression and hormones. Not only have I not had sex for a year, but it's also the reason I have dandruff. And apparently I'm depressed. How sexy is that? FML

Are you retarded? Dandruff typically comes from dry skin... people who wash their hair too much, or sweat to much. I've NEVER heard of it being depression based, and I'm 3rd year pre-med.

I think the word "depression" is being used loosely...shampoo should do the trick, and leave depression to die alone!

I used to be in the beauty industry, and I don't know about the cause but adding tea tree oil to your regular shampoo (one drop in the hand each wash) should do the trick and do not put your conditioner on your scalp, only the ends of your hair because it can make it worse. Make sure you scrub your scalp...not just rub.

Dandruff doesn't come from having a dirty head. I washed my hair twice a day and had it for the better side of six months.
