Today, a very drunk woman at the family Christmas party told me she felt terrible that I didn't have a mother who cared about me. She's my mother. FML

Don't worry, OP, the majority of what people say drunk is utter nonsense. The cliche that "drunk words are sober thoughts" is not only utterly untrue, but in fact fairly harmful. Do not believe that rubbish for an instance. It's most likely she was either annoyed with you, and had a vast overreaction because of drinking; or she was simply messing with you, and thought it would be funny (again because of drinking).
