Hustlers

Today, I found out that my 14-year-old son spent hundreds of dollars on what appears to be a misogynist multi-level marketing hustlers' website. How did he pay for this horseshit, and how did I found out? My PayPal account sent me emails, telling me that several purchases had been made, but too late for me stop them. FML

contact PayPal and they will refund you since it's a unauthorized use

That stuff will be returned immediately. He loses his internet and phone data plan indefinitely. His allowance will be garnished, if he gets one at all at this point. He gets a part time job to pay off the rest or he receives a bill with interest when he turns eighteen. Otherwise he gets a visit from the cops, his choice.

Change your PayPal info or cut off any way for him to access your money; I would see if there’s a way to get refunded, or if not make your son work through chores or other means to earn back the money. Then I’d work on having some good talks with him and finding ways to get him invested in other outlets and hobbies. Volunteer work is always a good one and can start as a form of punishment; there’s also extracurricular clubs and resources for teens to learn financial responsibility, might wanna start him young so he doesn’t make any more stupid mistakes with money in the future. Good luck!

Not necessarily. It depends on when the purchases were made. He needs to file a police report of theft and most parents aren’t willing to do so and most reports of theft have to be made within a 60 day period if it’s a credit card and within 30 days for anything else such as a debit card etc… his best bet is contacting the credit card company or the bank depending on when the charges are made.

You haven't lost your money. Tell your son to get out there and hustle and not let the bitches keep him down. When he gets off his pimply incel ass, he can climb the pyramid, pay back your investment and then the bitches will want to suck his dick. Yaaahhh!!!!

More importantly, talk to your son about why the content of that site is crap. Your kid is on a bad path. Paypal should be the least of your worries

The local library will get to know him by name, seeing as how that's about the only way he'll get needed Internet access.

I would have added the OP needs to change his PayPal password.
