Growing old sucks

Today, I'm celebrating one year of retirement. Also, almost one year of recovering from a broken leg, quickly followed by a broken hip. I may never walk correctly again. FML

I feel you. 37, and I feel 80. My left leg is permanently disfigured from a skydiving accident which broke Tib, Fib, Femur and Heel resulting in my left foot aiming off left at a -45 Deg Angle. Special orthotics required just to not have pain. Wait till the discs in your back degrade. It’s fun slinging down pain killers to just get through the day. Edit: i was being sarcastic on pain meds. I have to use tramadol constantly just to do anything unless i was to collapse from pain. And for reference, over time the leg effed up my hip as it made it sit in an unatural angle, causing myself to walk with a limp and use a cane. The back issues are just as bad, and together the cause an unholy alliance of misery and torture on anything that requires serious muscle to perform.
