Fingerlickin' good

Today, while working at my new job at a surgery center, I noticed how odd it was that the room began to smell like fried chicken. I thought it smelt pretty good, until I learned it was actually the smell of someone getting their ear cauterized. I enjoyed the smell of someone's burning ear flesh. FML

If you really think about it people are just very intelligent meat. I guess cooked meat smells good no matter what the species.

Well, i suppose if that's a procedure that is done a lot and you're going to have to be smelling it a lot, it's best that you like the smell. It's weird because I've heard that burning flesh smells awful but...to each their own I suppose

I think it's burning hair that's awful, isn't it?

I've heard burning flesh smells like bacon.

I believe the ear would smell different when burned because it's cartilage

The one occasion I smelled my own flesh burning, it was really unpleasant... the closest similarity I could draw at the time was the scent of a burning rubber eraser.

I guess eating fried chicken will never be the same.

I guess eating cauterized ears won't be the same either

I thought burning flesh was one of the nastiest smells there was? I've never smelt it personally but I know people in the emergency responder business and that's what I've been told... a little odd that it smells like food to you..

I've never smelt burning flesh, but I think people are over exaggerating it. It's not the flesh they're smelling but burning hair, which is disgusting. If it's just flesh, it should smell just like regular meat but if it has (human) hair on it, it's horrible.

It's really our brains thinking that because it's human flesh it shouldn't smell good. Your brain is way more powerful than you'd think.

Okay Hannibal Lecter calm down.

That's how it begins. The hunger the drives sane people rabid... Will Anonymous fight it or succumb to her more primal urges? Find out on the next episode of FML, entitled FML: The Follow Up! Disclaimer: This comment in no way endorses cannibalism. Now, for the weather...

You know the old saying "smells like chicken tastes like chicken"

Huh, it must have been an ear-y feeling when you realized what was making you hungry.

my dad was a ems. he picked up a person with horrible burns one time. he said they smelled like cooked bacon. I'm guessing that only really bunt people (carcole burnt) smells bad

Maybe you should see if it tastes like chicken too

I read that burning human muscle smells like cooking beef. I imagine that if you smelled an entire body burning then it would probably smell bad due to the internal organs, hair, and other things that you'd normally not eat or want to eat.
