Do what you gotta do

Today, my university's dorms closed due to COVID-19 and when I asked my parents if I could stay with them, they said no because, "we're social distancing." They weren't joking, I have nobody else to stay with. I'm now legitimately living in a tent under a bridge until this pandemic ends. FML

Home is still your permanent address. They cannot evict you without legal notice that usually requires 60 days.

Are there any shelters around? I know it doesn't sound appealing, but at least it's a roof over your head as opposed to a bridge.

i would bust a window and get in. **** what they say. they had you so now they needa figure out your situation. i hate when parents just stop being parents because someone is older or because of a BULLSHIT virus. this is the time they should keep you close to them.

A tent with a phone charger, eh?

If that's your legal home address, call the cops for illegal eviction, especially during this pandemic. I have a hunch that's the only way your parents will learn.

Also, please keep us posted on your situation. Hoping for the best outcome for you.
