Detained

Today, I forgot to bring a letter to my secondary school, so I went to detention. I told them it got lost, but it's only when my parents phoned and told them the same thing that they believed it. So I got detention for nothing. FML

Today, my parents got a call from my English teacher. She told them that I have 14 days of detention because I've been cutting class. I've been there every day, but apparently she never noticed me. FML

Today, at school, I got stuck in the elevator and was about to panic before I remembered I had my phone. I called my mother and she called the school to tell them that I was stuck. They got me out in a few minutes and then confiscated my phone and gave me two detentions for using it in school. FML

Today, I got sent out of the class for "inappropriate" behaviour. The teacher later forgot about me and sent a notice home to my parents stating that I skipped class. FML

Today, one of my friends got me in trouble when he called our house and asked my parents why they didn't see us at a school conference. My parents were at a meeting elsewhere at the time, so I didn't bother to tell them about it, as we couldn't have gone there to begin with, and it was voluntary. They're mad anyway. FML

Today, I got detention at school because a girl told the principal I was stalking her on campus. I wasn't stalking her, we just have very similar schedules. FML

Today, I explained to my teacher that I wasn't at school yesterday due to three doctor appointments for my moderate epilepsy. Yesterday was senior skip day. She gave me detention for lying. FML

Today, I finished my classwork and my homework early. Since we weren't allowed to leave the room, I decided to draw. My teacher noticed and gave me detention for "goofing off" when I should be doing my work. When I told the teacher I was already done, they gave me a second detention for "attempting to defy them". FML

Today, I came to school late because I had to drop off my daughter at school. When I got on campus, the security told me I was late but I said, "Oh no, I work here." and he said, "Oh like I haven't heard that one before." And he took me to detention. My boss, the Principal, had to bail me out. FML

So you "forgot to bring" something that was lost? If it was lost before it got to you, then you couldn't forget to bring what you never had. Otherwise, it sounds like you got it, forgot to bring it, and claimed that it was lost in an attempt to avoid any repercussions.

we usually do too, idky they only let me stay that short of a time. maybe cuz i was a good kid and never got in trouble and that was my only offense my whole high school career. but hey, my ex shouldn't have pissed me off then told on me after I punched him. doesn't matter, karma got me almost a year later...twice. ahhh, high school. don't miss that shit

Ok, so you learned a life lesson; life isn't fair. They hear type of excuses all the time. If they believe it every time, the school will be overrun with chaos.

You went to Detention when you really weren’t supposed to? Remind them the next time you go to retention that you now have one on reserve. Maybe you won’t have to do detention then. Because you already served previously.
