Could be useful in the right circumstances

Today, I finished the rather expensive Arabic language course I have been taking for about 6 months. I still can't hold a conversation, but I can now say, "May Allah give you a headache and you are stuck in Beirut's traffic for two hours." FML

classes are to teach you, sometimes the real work is on you

No wait that’s way more powerful. Ehhh, the nature of language courses is such that sometimes they teach you the words and grammar and then it’s on you to learn how to use them in a conversation with a Real Human Being. That said though I can’t imagine real humans being entirely unwilling to help you once you strike up a conversation.

Hebrew’s way easier to learn

Practice, practice, practice. If you cannot date an Arab, you need to make Arab friends, and by Arab I mean anybody whose first language is Arabic, so the first sentence you shall learn now is "Do you speak Arabic?"

Fatwa algebra couscous. Translate and discuss.
