Today, my mom broke the news that my dad secretly got married two months ago, to a woman he has been dating for 15 years, and that my parents have actually been divorced for 12 years. They just lied about it this whole time. FML

Similar thing happened to me, my parents divorced before I was even born and my dad had a girlfriend my whole life. Didn't find out until two years ago. Sorry OP. :/

gotta respect that commitment tho. also op you should realize they kept this up in order to not hurt you. it something your divorced parents could agree upon just for you... thats a beautiful thing. my divorced parents haven't been able to hold a single conversation that didn't degenerate into shouting and name calling after 3 minutes. really i am kinda moved by your parents dedication
