Where to now?

Today, I was finally leaving my hometown to live in my dream city. Everything was packed, keys were handed in, goodbyes were made. The moment my truck began pulling out to get underway, the guy I'd gotten a room from in my new city called to inform me that he'd decided to rent to someone else. FML

Fall

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

Wait, didn't you had to sign a contract or so?

At least you weren't half way there. You only just left.

YDI if you did'nt have a signed lease.

Plan a homecoming party or something like that.

Which is why you take care of the deposit(if there is one) and lease ahead of time, so both parties are legally bound. I sublet my other 2 rooms and have never considered a renter if they wouldn't sign the lease and deposit before moving in...am I just to hope they show up as intended and possibly be screwed with an empty room and no one paying the rent if they change their mind?

Can he do that?

He just did.

That sucks, I don't see why op would deserve it

because op probably didn't sign a contract.

Well look at the bright side Theres no place like home right? Im sure your home town isn't that bad but at least your there and not in the middle of somewhere driving to no destination :)
