Today, I lost my dream house because my mortgage advisor, who I literally paid to take care of the complicated legal stuff, fucked up at every stage until the seller just sold it to someone else. My advisor admitted I'm his first customer, and that he didn’t think it would be this hard. FML

Today, I learned that just because I inherited a house doesn’t mean I get to move into it to escape my crappy neighbourhood and asshole neighbours. Thanks to inheritance tax I have to sell the house to afford the taxes. FML

Today, I moved into my first house and realised pretty quick that my estate agent lied to me about how great this neighbourhood was. I was in the house for 30 minutes when I heard the neighbours having a screaming domestic in their garden, then a brick flew over the fence and broke my eye socket. FML

Today, my boss explicitly told me to demolish a half-built house that was 50 feet too far from where it should have been and was actually on someone else’s land. I knocked it down, then it turned out to be the wrong one, and my boss threw me under the bus and swore he’d told me to demolish the other house. FML

I assume you mean Greater Toronto Area, and for those of us who are not Canucks, Moncton is in New Brunswick. For scale, picture living in Chicago and being upset about not getting a real estate deal in Maine. Or living in, I don’t know, Berlin and not getting a real estate deal in Ireland.
