Today, after getting ghosted by a company for a job I really wanted, I posted on LinkedIn, venting my frustration with companies not having the decency to send rejection letters. My current boss, who didn't know I was job hunting, saw it, and let me know I'm now on the shit list. FML

Great planning
Today, I woke up to a voicemail from my manager saying I had the day off. Excited, I made plans with my friends. A few minutes ago I got a call from my other manager yelling at me for not showing up, and the original manager revealed he had me confused with another girl. FML

Today, a person who I've been talking to for months told me they were in a relationship with someone else. I work with this person and see them almost everyday. To top it off, they told me this over text. FML

Today, I was short shifted at work because one of my employees decided not to show up. Furious, I wrote her up and made predetermined judgments about her. When she came in, I went off on her for being absent and leaving me stuck. She then informed me her mom tried to commit suicide. FML

Today, after feeling like I've been sucking as a friend and contacting a friend who has called me their best friend, but doesn't talk to me much, we grabbed a coffee. The whole time I was trying to have a conversation, she was on her phone. FML

Today, I was sitting with a group of people at lunch. I was having a bad day, so I began venting to them. Eventually, they got tired of it and banned me from the table, because my "depressing mindset" reminds them of their trauma. FML

I'm going to be honest. This idea that we need to respond to everything immediately bothers me a lot. Sometimes I'll glance at something while at work, in the middle of something, etc, just because the notification popped up, but I don't have the time to reply. You're not owed an immediate response to anything, short of a face to face conversation (and even then they are within their rights to say, "Hey let me think about it/get back to you!"

oh well. Maybe they were at work, busy with kids, or in a class. I've done it several times then will be on my phone later and respond back. idk if this is a re-occurring issue or not but if it is they are trying to give you hint
