Today, while working on my laptop, I accidentally spilled a glass of water. I quickly moved my laptop out of the way of the oncoming stream. It fell on the floor and broke. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I decided to be healthy and drink a tall glass of water whilst doing my assignment that is due in three days. I managed to spill the entire glass over my laptop. I flipped it over and used a hairdryer to dry it off. While doing that, I managed to melt my keyboard. FML
Today, I spilled some milk on my laptop. I was pretty sure it would be fine as it was only a bit of milk. While cleaning the residue, I knocked a whole bucket of water into the insides of the laptop. RIP Macbook. FML
Today, I was drinking coffee out of my favorite mug, when it slipped out of my hand. I caught it, but not before most of the hot coffee spilled all over my lap. In reaction, I dropped the mug again, shattering it. FML
Oh, the humanity
Today, I was giving a presentation at work but accidentally spilled water all over my laptop. I tried to dry it off, but it wouldn't turn on. I had to give the presentation awkwardly using my phone and everyone took the piss out of me and my shoddy performance. FML
Today, I spilled a glass of iced tea all over my desk. It trickled down the wall and fried an extension cord. FML
Cool moves
Today, I tried to open my water bottle, which is like trying to open a pickle jar, and after several seconds, it exploded all over my desk and clothes. Then, when I was going to get paper towels and a change of clothes, I slipped on the puddle and hit my head on my desk as I came crashing down. FML
Here comes the flood
Today, I was trying to be environmentally friendly by using a reusable water bottle, but didn't screw the top on properly, so while I was chatting to someone it splashed it all over my computer and bricked it. FML
Haste
Today, I was running late for work and I was carrying my stuff to my car, handbag over my shoulder, laptop in one hand, and my coffee in the other. As I tried to unlock my car, I spilt the coffee all over myself, the car, and my laptop. Now, I’m sticky, wet, and my laptop won't turn on. FML
Today, as I was putting some dishes away, I spilled water on the floor. While walking around the dishwasher, I slipped on said water, and after going to urgent care, found out I tore my meniscus. FML
Today, the alarm on my phone went off. I picked it up, hit snooze, and dropped it back on my desk without looking. I woke up an hour later to find that I had dropped it directly in a full glass of water. FML

LOL indeed. The first time I read this, I interpreted it as "the stream" falling onto the floor and breaking... I know it sounds dumb, but that's what I thought of when I first read it.

It wasn't milk, it was water. OP, I'm sorry you lost your water! :(

Since you were working on your laptop, surely you have enough common sense not to have liquids around electronics.

Heh. I'm drinking tea next to mine as we speak. But then again, I've already spilled coffee and water on it before (some people never learn).

delicious + lazy = lack of common sense

What?! Did you hand make your laptop using popsicle sticks? How tall is this table?

If she quickly pushed it away I can see how it would break easily. Also could have been something like tile flooring, really hard stuff.

You say your laptop broke...? How did you send this FML?

I have to agree with the person above me. We have 4 computers at my house. 2 desktops and 2 laptops. 1 of those desktops is the family computer, the other is my mom's. I own a laptop and so does my mom's fiance, which he uses for work.

Im taking the moral high road here and saying: Folks put your liquids on the floor or another chair. It has always picked my nerves whenever I see people place drinks by their keyboard/notebooks! Fyl for the damage AND learning the hard way... Because I learned THE SAME way.

Should have got it wet. Once it's wet. Take out the battery and leave the water to evaporate. That's what I did >.>
